I am not sure why I have been looking this up lately, but for years there had been talk of an alleged genie movie that starred Sinbad, along with claims from children of the 1990s that they have seen it. Personally, I am not one of those people, but I am not sure if they are confusing it with "Aliens for Breakfast" with Sinbad and Ben Savage, which I remember seeing way back when. Then I found out that there was a video of alleged lost media footage with Sinbad as a genie. However, that video was from College Humor. I will give it to them to have it look like it was from a VHS with the tone and the video being at 4:3 ratio. If it were old footage, the actors who played the children would likely have been known child actors from that era.
Does anyone here actually believe this movie exists, or do you feel it's an urban legend?

They’re confusing it with Kazaam starring Shaq because Shazaam makes more sense as a genie movie title and they can’t tell black people apart.

I was one of the people who "remembered" that Sinbad movie and I remember specific conversations comparing the two movies and finding it weird two genie movies with similar names came out. Someone actually figured this out. Sinbad hosted movie specials on WB in the early 90's. This thing re-ran like 500 times and it had him doing a bunch of gags, and then they would throw it to the made for TV movie that he was in. He yelled "Shazzam" a few times while doing magic tricks and somehow that got into the collective minds of kids everywhere. A screen grab is posted below. All I remembe him for is his stint on Different World and how 2 years ago someone I grew up with paid Sinbad for a CAMEO. Where ,obviously reading from a script Sinbad praised this guy's documentary.

I know the movie isn't real, but everywhere I go on the internet, there is someone who claims to have seen it. A video on YouTube said that no person older believes this movie exists. It's weird.
