grading in terms of how raw usually is, i'll throw it a 7. not horrible but i don't think they regained a lot of viewers with tonight's showing. next week should be a lot better with the matches that are lined up

Just watched Orton/Dom and Punk. Both were what they were. Punk had to say something about why he was back and they weren't going to let him do a shoot, so it was underwhelming, but what can you do?

The RAW thread was 10/10.
Wait... there was a wrestling show tonight?

It was a typical Raw to me, so fine. But I don't blame anyone if they came away disappointed after not watching for a long time.

Fun Raw, Punks promo was good but hoped he started a feud with someone but eh, great show overall

I thought it was a really good show. The tag turmoil was great and the Creeds are always insane, Randy’s segment with Rhea was super fun, and I enjoyed Punk’s promo as a “I’m happy to be back” before things really kick off big time.
Exciting times ahead.

Hitting barely watched myself because, well, I had to close at work so i missed most of the show. Seems the opinion on how it went is different depending on where I look because judging from just plain results it seemed fine but again, I had to miss most of it.

6/10:
The Tag Gauntlet and Randy vs. Dom were both fun.
Randy in general was great tonight.
But most of the show was kind of dull.
Also the women’s booking was bad tonight. Just beating two newer women you are trying to build up was, stupid.
Punk’s promo, well I believed him when he said he was here for the money. But that was all I believed here.

This is the first RAW I’ve watched enough of in a while to be able to rate in good conscience. I’ll go 6. It was…fine. Some stuff I really enjoyed, and Dom/Orton was an entertaining main event. Was cool to see Orton doing his thing again.
I am trying to be as objective as possible about this, but the Punk return promo was really, really bad and feels like a major fumble to me. I know WWE is “hot” right now, but you have to figure that part of the motivation for bringing in Punk was to try and get eyes on the product that don’t watch or haven’t watched WWE in a while. I imagine this is going to be an especially highly rated RAW, but absolutely nothing about this episode or Punk’s promo made me want to watch again. It was incredibly lame, disingenuous to the point of being cringy, and an almost shot for shot rehash of the return promo he already cut, except WWEified.
If that’s the character Punk’s going to play, the crowds are going to turn on him quickly. Shit, he even lost the crowd tonight as that promo droned on. I hope he handles the WWE crowd not worshipping the ground he walks on simply for the sake of existing better than he handled it when the AEW crowd cheered MJF over him or he’s going to be “homeless” again very soon.

Completely agreed.

7.
Tag match and Bronson versus Ivar were fun. R-Truth segment with Judgment Day was great. Orton was great, too.
RAW's women's booking is bad. Punk's promo was disappointing.

I'll go with a six personally for reasons I stated in the live chat thread.

Got me to watch Raw for the first time in a long ass time.
After that first hour I was tuned out. Leaned heavy on the FF button. And last 2 hours of the show I got through in 35 minutes tops.
While that tag match was great. The A of that is dragged down by the C level the rest of the show was.

7. It was fine. Tag team turmoil was excellent. Ivar v Bronson was good if not great. All the in ring promos were decent….until Punk at the end. I could take a lot of points off just for that but I think a 7 is fine. That tag turmoil alone was worth watching.

9, dragged down from a 10 because of CM Poop.
That R Truth/Judgement Day backstage segment was A+
