I was just thinking earlier about How Jacy Jayne seems to fit in way too well with Chase U and it's weird since she was such huge heel in the break up with Gigi Dolin. She was clearly supposed to corrupt Thea and lead her away from Chase U, but now it seems like she's Andre Chase's only supporter. Also in Chase U, Duke Hudson, who also joined Chase U and looked like he was there to take over, but damn he's just too likable as the Chase U top student.
Also, I was wondering about Maxinne dupri. Wasn't she trying to seduce Otis to become her model? How'd she end up the Alpha academy Cheerleader? And it works.
MJF and Adam Cole. You know of them was supposed to turn on the other

she became the alpha academy Cheerleader allegedly because Vince came back and hated what the Male Models had become...
when he created the idea he didn't want them to be a camp comedy thing like they became which... which I'm not sure how you do that gimmick and play it entirely straight...
----
also Eddie Guerrero beats the shit out of Tajiri for messing up his lowrider... and then like the next week is a face again and it was basically just hand waved away because people cheered for him.

Orton turning on Riddle seemed inevitable but they had so much chemistry and Orton seemed to be having the time of his life. Obviously now Riddle is gone so it’s never happening.

I love that creative actually understood that a) there was serious money to be made with RK-Bro, and b) neither the fans nor the performers wanted the split to happen

Alexa Bliss turning babyface in 2019 happened as a result of her chemistry with Nikki Cross. Originally, she was going to turn against Cross and stay a heel.

Nikki was on the verge of becoming a Champion but fell off completely once Alexa turned heel and joined Bray.

And the fact that Bray's injury then firing ended the storyline

When Daniel Bryan and Kane started interacting around May 2012 it seemed like a short term thing and one would turn on the other. I doubt the original plan was for them to end up being a thing for over a year but they got so over it would have been dumb not to run with it.

I wonder if this is the case with Jacy Jayne. I thought she was going to turn Thea against Chase U, but I think she actually grew to like them.

Was Regal supposed to destroy Eugene or no? I don't know for sure, but I LOVED how it played out. Having Bischoff making it clear that Regal was to ensure Eugene didn't last, and Regal screwing with him a bit the first few weeks but then Bischoff/Coach kept upping the ante and even *Regal* of all people thought it was taking it too far and developed sympathy for the guy. I think Eugene getting over better than expected played a role in any possible change Man, 2004/05 Face Regal was awesome and I wish they did more with him

wasn't Foley supposed to turn heel on the Rock earlier in The Rock and Sock Connection? and not just because of someone binning the Rock's copy of Have a nice day.

Apparently that would be the catalyst, then Foley would unload in promos on Rock about the Royal Rumble I Quit match. In fact, Mick admits to not giving the time of day to Rock as far as apologizing, so he could be angry enough for this when it happened. How about the Eliminators? They definitely were setting up a split in 1996, then nothing. Apparently Saturn couldn't stand Kronus IRL too. I guess ECW was too behind them being the best tag team in the world and all.

Sorta, like it's my understanding that Rock did not know he never went to see Foley, it wasn't Foley not letting him apologize, and Rock was very contrite on finding out and genuinely sorry. It was more that Foley never brought it up to him in the first place in order to have the material to work with, only having the conversation and letting it go when it was clear it'd never happen. In any case, I remember something halted the heel turn, it being either Austin or Undertaker being hurt and WWF being reliant on Foley as the secondary top face. It's also similar to how he intended to retire in late 1999, only for it to be potentially the end of Austin's career, with Foley reasoning that both WWF needed him and that not a lot of people were going to give a shit about him retiring if he did it at the same time as Austin.
