I can't find the Miro thread from earlier this year. That said, *this* is what he was holding out for?
Eep.

Really don't know why they wouldn't just have CJ become his 'new' god and she just manages him.
CJ and Andrade have zero chemistry too

I've long worked under the assumption that Miro was just turning down stuff till AEW would hire his wife. This angle has done nothing to change my theory

Miro and CJ have to be the best example right now of every wrestler having their own creative freedom not being a good thing. Like sometimes ideas, like QTV, whatever the f*** Cody was doing, and whatever the hell this, are just dogshit ideas that don’t need to be put on tv.
I mean sometimes it’s cool, like Julia Hart/HOB or The Acclaimed or Toni Storm, but you get some wet fart ideas like this.

I can't even pretend to enjoy this, it just stinks. CJ seems nice but I wouldn't have hired her, she doesn't really add anything IMO.

I think more often than not there are a lot of wrestlers that have good ideas, but I think for a lot of the wrestlers, they also have big egos and are stubborn. Or you have someone like Jericho who admits even in AEW he'll pitch ideas and Tony will give him a blank stare (or other people in history... usually Lance Storm) and he realizes the idea isn't as good as he thought. There are also wrestlers who are insanely creative but have no filter.

There are also wrestlers who are insanely creative but have no filter. Coming at this solely from like a writerly standpoint, but the ability to have good idea and the ability to tell when your ideas actually suck are entirely separate talents. You can spin absolute gold with your tongue half of the time and if you don't have the sense to double check your own thoughts then you can easily spin shit with the same confidence the other half of the time. Wrestling has no meaningful second draft, and so a lot of the filters that exist for writers to clean up their ideas, trim out extraneous dumb stuff, and have people come in to say "Okay no you have to cut this shit entirely", just don't happen and wrestlers can have hall of fame careers without beibgn able to discern the difference, they just learn to read the booker's expressions instead. Jericho has had so many banger ideas, knocked it out of the park so many times, reinvented himself year after year. But he also never seems to know when it's time to reinvent himself, hanging way too long on to ideas that have long grown stale and sucked dry of any juice they once had. The Painmaker is unironic. Jericho loves Stryper and books them for his cruises. But then, he also made his rock and wrestling cruise happen and it's a big success, even if the 'rock' side is a bunch of cover bands, burlesque pyro acts, and Stryper. Whether his stories always pan out or not, everyone he's gone out of his wya to work with has been full of promise and potential aside from Jake Hager. The Action Andretti match was his idea. Even if (insert third way to dunk on Stryper), he's proven his mind, he's just wholly incapable of separating shit and needs a booker who can tell him no.

2021 was such a good year for him and he's returned in 2023 with garbage.
I'd almost prefer gamer Miro than Miro chasing his wife with her tits out

Miro to me feels like he's firmly in the realm of, "Counting the days on his contract before he can go back to WWE." You can kind of tell that the instant he lost the TNT title he just completely stopped giving a shit.

Yeah, I really don't like this story and I don't see where it's going either. Before when Miro was playing it as he was not worthy of her and was destroying people to become worthy, that served a function. It drove Miro's need for destruction and made him a frightening prospect for anyone that had to face him.
This story seems kinda dumb though. Either Miro becomes okay with her managing other people or CJ stops doing it to please him and neither of those seem like good resolutions. Is it going to end with Miro wrecking someone CJ manages in order to get his edge back? Are we going to get a big romantic reconciliation? None of that sounds interesting to me. I don't care about any of this and I don't think it's helping Miro either.

Miro seems like he has Hardcore Holly ideas when it comes to his booking, so the moment he lost his shiny bauble in a predetermined sport he got very boo-boo faced.

CJ seems like a good person.
That said, she worked best doing the Ludmilla Drago gimmick and everything since has been law of diminishing returns. I cannot think of anyone that was dying to see her in AEW.
