Jimi Hendrix had a few good tunes besides All Along the Watchtower, his only charting hit at #20. Purple Haze Foxey Lady Hey Joe Voodoo Child The Wind Cries Mary All of these are decent. I know that this is kind of tongue in cheek but I’d argue that Castles Made of Sand is Jimi’s best song.

i used Water's edge in Fan Idol and I came in dead last for the round We need another one of those. Too many people who were cornerstones of those games, especially Tyger have moved on from the boards. It would be tough to find a host who can keep things moving.

It may not count since Squeeze is best known for the song "Tempted" in the US, but they had other huge songs which undoubtedly weren't one hit wonders, however I think they're one of those bands that has essentially disappeared over the years.
I remember years and years ago picking up their compilation album "Singles – 45's and Under" and just being amazed at how creative they sounded on each track, while still maintaining that early 80's Pop feel. I ended up getting a few more of their albums, and even their later stuff is still very good. I then got the see them in concert several years ago, and seeing the keyboard solo on "Slap and Tickle" live was amazing. Definitely a top 5 band of all time for me at this point, haven't heard anything of their's I didn't like.
Anyways, my favorites of their;
Some Fantastic Place If I Didn't Love You Up the Junction (excellent 3 minute story) Goodbye Girl Hourglass

Here in the United States I think Silverchair is pretty much only known for Tomorrow, but their entire discography is good and I'm not sure I'd put Tomorrow in their Top 5 songs. The funny thing especially is that Daniel Johns looks at Frogstomp and Freak Show as cute thing that a teenager made, he considers their first actual album to be Neon Ballroom.

The Royal Guardsmen will forever be known for Snoopy vs. The Red Baron, but they had a lot of under the radar garage band-style songs that went unnoticed.

The Verve are viewed as a one-hit wonder in the States ("Bittersweet Symphony"), but were probably one of the most acclaimed British bands of the mid/late nineties, and Urban Hymns is arguably the last great Britpop LP. They also had a bigger hit than "Bittersweet Symphony" on this side of the Atlantic. It breaks my heart that more people have heard "Bittersweet Symphony" and "The Drugs Don't Work" than have heard, say "She's a Superstar" or "This is Music" Nick McCabe is one of the best british guitarists of his generation and deserves to be held in the same regard as Graham Coxon or Jonny Greenwood.

There are legends that never had a mainstream hit.

While Semisonic is better remember for Closing Time, FNT is such a jam after hearing it from the soundtrack to 10 Things I Hate About You. Secret Smile got played to death on UK radio. I now actually hate the song even if it is a good song I just got sick of hearing that intro.

Lisa Loeb had one hit in the UK - Stay - but I love her album Firecracker. I saw her live in a tiny theater when she visited the UK in 2003 and played all my favourite songs from her albums up to that point.

On topic, Rick Astley (of Rickroll fame) has been getting a mini revival of sorts here in the UK, largely thanks to his Glastonbury set which included a surprising good cover of The Smiths.

It actually peaked on the singles chart higher than "Closing Time", I remember it being on Capital FM all the time to the point that I'm now transported back to the summer of 1999 whenever I hear it. Now that was a golden era for one hit wonders.

Biz Markie was one of the most respected rappers around, but now he's mostly remembered for Just A Friend.

I’m always fascinated how non-Australians talk about bands and songs that are radio staples here like they’re these amazing deep cuts. Barely scratched the surface, like. Cold Chisel is one of my favorite bands. 97% of my fellow Americans have no idea who that is. So it's fun playing them "Flame Trees" or "Standing on the Outside" and watching their jaws drop. "This is awesome! Where did you find this?" Australian classic hits stations on TuneIn, my guy. See how far the musical rabbit hole goes. Is Jimmy Barnes still mainly known for being the shouty bloke in the sky in the US?

There are a few people who remember "Good Time" from The Lost Boys or maybe "Working Class Man" because of Gung Ho, but that's about it.

Crash Test Dummies is a really talented band that has put out 8 above average to good albums spanning multiple genres and influences over the last 30+ years, but will forever be remembered for and judged by their absolute worst song. Songs like How Does A Duck Know? and Keep a Lid on Things are really good songs, for example. I absolutely love Afternoons & Coffespoons. One of my favourite '90s songs.
