Part of me thinks these dudes are adults, if they want to get jacked as hell then go for it. Long term though, this cannot be good for them. Orton in particular looks like he has eaten 3 other Ortons. Orton made Roman look so small, holy shit I’m still not over that lol bro’s basically Batista now. Their match at the rumble should be interesting.

I seem to remember back on the old r.s.p-w newsgroup a discussion about how the steroids were creeping back into pro wrestling after the steroid scandal and that, in the later 90s they were being used at that time simply to speed up healing from injuries. Of course, as we learned to our horror, there was a lot of stuff about to keep these guys on the road for longer stretches and bring them back sooner and keep them looking good through it all. We lost a lot of talent in the late 90s and into the 00s because of the Wild West mentality in the business.
There have been a lot of changes since then, but I'm not sure that steroid use has declined all that much. The real culprits for the carnage we saw were the painkillers, stimulants and depressants (and antidepressants) that helped these people cope with the rigours of life on the road and the toxic work environment that prevailed at that time.

Maybe the pictures don't do Orton's current physique justice, but he doesn't look too far off from periods of his past. His mid section looks unusually dry, but his proportions look fine. AJ however - what happened there? I'd love to read their actual height and weight. It's very hard to tell if you aren't build like a Batista or Mahal, and don't know any details besides appearance.

Andrew Zarian talked about this yesterday, he basically said "If you're a male in your mid 40's, and play sports and still wanna maintain a solid physique, you're probably on TRT. It's more people then you think. Hell, I'm one of those people. You go to the doctor, explain your issues and they prescribe it. It's pretty common"

Because maintaining or achieving a solid physique is probably possible in any male's mid 40's IF their test levels aren't unnaturally low. The range of physiques, especially with athletes, is so vast - it has to be a case by case study. His argument sounds damaging.

Well the issue with TRT in MMA is it was often used by former steroid users (since that usage dropped their natural testosterone levels and allowed them to get it prescribed) who then used it to get insane results.

If hes talking about athletics outside of a bodybuilding standpoint, the bigger goal there with TRT isn't putting on lean mass, it's the recovery benefits you can see. The muscles are going to heal faster with elevated levels of testosterone.
