Yeah I'm saying Revolution, it feels like it's time, he's got over so big recently and is on the best run he's ever had, in and out of the ring, they're presenting him as more of a star week by week (the stuff with the Jags, appearing 3 different times on Dynamite last night etc), Max has had the title as long as he needs it, almost no reason not to do it.
Revolution feels like it could be a big PPV for AEW if they did pull the trigger there, a title change and crowning a new top guy, Ospreay's in ring debut as a fully fledged member of the roster and Sting's last match.

It really feels like it's a matter of when, not if. Dude's become a certified main eventer between his matches with Adam Page and his performance in the Continental Classic.
Revolution feels like the right time to pull the trigger.

Strike while the irons hot. ASAP in the new year, there might be 20 ppvs a year now but the belt can still change hands on dynamite, no need to drag it out.

This is good point. Revolution should be big show with a big crowd so should be great spot to crown Swerve. Only slight might be whether Sting closes the show? I kinda assume he will which wouldn't be the best optics for a Swerve title win

Has to be Revolution. Could be against MJF or Joe, but it has to happen.

It has to happen in the next six months, doesn't it? It feels like Swerve has the momentum behind him (both from fans and AEW) in the same way that Hangman and MJF had before they won. As soon as the title feud begins or the match gets announced it's going to be undeniable.

If they hadn't already committed to MJF/Joe ages ago I would have done it at World's End but yes at this point it has to be Revolution.
The thought that Hangman costs him the match had occurred to me as well but I don't think delaying Swerve's win is a good idea at this point. They can revisit the feud when Swerve is already champion.

As long as he heads into the summer as champion IMO it doesn't matter to me when it happens from now untill then.
It is definetly on the horizon from the promo between he and MJF though.

Everything about Swerve's presentation on TV still screams heel, yet he's started getting face crowd reactions and now we have the threat of Hanger screwing him hanging over things. Interested to see which way they go with him.

My guess is Swerve wins it off of Joe, if only because MJF vs Swerve feels like it happens but MJF supposedly needs time off, so bring them back for a match later. This also prevents Joe from looking like a dumbass and makes the TV title less buried by his relinquishing it if it actually serves a point.
I also think that Samoa Joe winning would provide a buffer since whoever beats MJF is surely not getting a long reign, not two in a row. It also means we get two non-white world champions in a row. Hell, a Jewish one, then two champions of color, that ain't half bad in terms of diversity, and it'd be three people more than qualified, too, so it's not like it'd be a Jinder situation where it comes off as cynically checking boxes.
Similarly, Hangman vs Swerve is for sure happening again, but I wouldn't be against Hangman beating Swerve for the title. Just, give it time first.
