I see him as the 2nd most important Champion. Anyone else agree?

Mox was my pick but was happy Eddie won.
He is surely getting close to being AEW champ now. Joe or Swerve dropping the title to him feels the way to go right now.

Even if Eddie has to wait til years end to beat Swerve I would take it.

Kingston's been my favorite dude for over a decade, so I'm thrilled
And the fact he won a Triple Crown like his heroes makes it even cooler
He's really cemented himself as a top guy in this company with this Tourney run

When Swerve wins the title, he should drop it to Eddie. Perhaps Swerve wins it at Revolution, holds it through the summer, and then drops it to Eddie at Grand Slam in NY.

Nah, Swerve's gotta drop it to Hangman, finish that story. But, if Eddie were to beat Joe, then drop it to Swerve, or take it off Hangman, I would not object.

I love seeing Kingston succeeding and being in this position, head on his shoulders, putting in the work, getting huge recognition and reception for it. He's overcome a lot of obstacles, some self-inflicted and some not, to get to this point and bring it all together. To think he was just a fly-in for a random Cody challenge and he parlayed that into being the central story to the inaugural tournament

But didn't AEW already finish the Swerve/Hangman story? Swerve won, Hangman lost. Despite being a heel, traditionally speaking, Swerve is more over as a babyface than Hangman is at the moment. To me, shit's done. Swerve vs. Hangman III would be a downgrade for Swerve. Whereas Swerve as AEW champion has bodies in the Mogul Embassy to put in front of a chasing Kingston. Although I'd rather see Eddie drop the Triple Crown to somebody so he's freed up to chase Swerve. I don't want to see Eddie Four Belts because it would make his Cinderella story harder to accept.

That feud better not be over. Swerve invaded Hangman’s house, and taunted his infant child. If Hanger doesn’t get revenge for that, you might as well take his character out back and shoot it in the f***ing head. You ever had someone break into your house? Or even try and steal a vehicle from your yard? It f***ing destroys your sense of security in your home. I can only imagine how much worse that feeling would be if you have a spouse and child, especially when you travel for work. You should never feel safer or more secure then when you’re in your own home, when that comfort gets destroyed it’s damn hard to move past.

Didn't Hangman basically imply in a promo that he knows Swerve has goals of championships and Hangman will stop him achieving it? I definitely don't think the feud is over.

Worth buying the show for that moment alone. Well deserved, and the new belt is gorgeous.

In his gimmick match. And he lost. Yes, Brian Cage and Prince Nana got involved in the match, but if Page didn't know or realize that would happen, when it's happened a lot with Swerve matches, then he looks like a dumbass who can't get the job of defending the honour of his family done. Page is a total lame duck now, and Swerve was already calling Page out as a lame duck in the promos leading up to their matches. Could AEW do Swerve vs. Hangman 3? Sure. I could see Page cutting a promo, "you were in my baby's room, but at the PPV, I'm going to beat you and take your baby--the AEW world title!" But it doesn't change the fact that Hangman, to me, anyway, is damaged goods. Swerve's star is on the rise; Page's star is on the fall and has already lost a lot of its shine. At best, AEW champion Swerve vs. Hangman 3 is a time-filler program on TV or a B-level PPV for 4-5 weeks. The money is in Kingston-as-contender chasing Swerve-as-champion throughout 2024.

I can only speak for myself but I'd be more interested in Hangman taking the title from Swerve than Eddie doing it.

I disagree with some of your points, but thank you for most of this post. I said Hangman looked like a bitch getting choked out by Swerve after everything that happened to him and I got absolutely shit on for that opinion. And they chose the worst possible way for Swerve to beat him. Hangman can never get a 1:1 revenge on the loss, you can’t send the West Virginia cowboy out there and have him lynch a black dude over the ring post like that. You might be able to get away with doing it like the Hangman/Mox finish, but the optics are still pretty dicey. Whereas logical wrestling storytelling would end with Hangman hanging Swerve like was done to him.
