Here are my predictions for the start of the road to Super Bowl LVIII:
- Cleveland 32, Houston 18: The Browns' defense is loaded at every level, and I could see them making life miserable for C.J. Stroud. Meanwhile, on offense all Joe Flacco has to do is not make mistakes and the talent around him should be enough to win.
- Kansas City 13, Miami 10: In perfect conditions, I'd probably pick the Dolphins. But on what is forecast to be a frigid, blustery night in Kansas City, I'll give the Chiefs the edge. They're not the world-beaters they've been in years' past, but the weather should neutralize chances for major error at the skill positions, and Miami has yet to prove they can stand toe-to-toe against the contenders in the league.
- Buffalo 27, Pittsburgh 14: I just don't see how the Steelers can go into Orchard Park and leave with a victory. They barely got into the dance in a must-win situation against a Ravens team that was resting its starters last weekend. Buffalo, meanwhile, seems to be peaking at just the right time in the season and this should serve as a solid tune-up game before the Divisional Round.
- Dallas 33, Green Bay 20: Dallas has too much talent on both sides of the ball for Green Bay to overcome. I think this will be a closer game than the final score will indicate, and Green Bay will make life difficult for the Cowboys, but the Packers are probably a year away from being real contenders, meanwhile this is arguably Dallas' best shot in almost a decade to break their championship drought.
- Los Angeles Rams 31, Detroit 28 (OT): My heart says go with Detroit. But my head says go with the battle-tested team that's two years removed from a Super Bowl win. The Lions have been a great story all season, but the Rams are coming on just at the right time, with talent on offense and a defense that is rounding into form just as the calendar turned to January.
- Philadelphia 17, Tampa Bay 10: My confidence level in the Eagles is about as low as it could be, but I still think on talent alone they should beat the Buccaneers. I don't expect this to be a long postseason for the Eagles, but they should at least get a win on Monday night, even if it's not the get-right game they're hoping for.

The optimism that I'm seeing here about the Eagles is way, way more than you can find for them in most places.
I'm going to put on my jersey and hope like crazy Monday night while also having absolutely zero expectations for this team.
If you watch the All-22 of the defense...whoof. Take that behind the shed and shoot it.

Cleveland Browns at Houston Texans: You could talk me into either team winning, but if forced to choose, I'd say Cleveland wins a competitive one. Cleveland 28 Houston 24
Miami Dolphins at Kansas City Chiefs: Miami has 1 win against a good team this year. Oh, and it's gonna be brutally freezing. KC 30 Miami 17
Pittsburgh Steelers at Buffalo Bills: The Steelers probably shouldn't be here. Buffalo has been an enigma most of the year. I expect some absolute nonsense. Steelers 24 Buffalo 20
Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys: I REALLY wanna pick GB. But Dallas usually takes care of business at home. Cowboys 30 Green Bay 27 (OT)
Los Angeles Rams at Detroit Lions: Matt Stafford returns to Detroit. The bigger story is that The Lions will win their first playoff game since George HW Bush was in office. Lions 30 Rams 24
Philadelphia Eagles @ Tampa Bay: Eagles will win. Fans will be be relieved....for a week. Eagles 23 Tampa 14

The only guarantee is that Tampa's winning against PHI.
No, I won't bet over it, I'm not a degenerate gambler.

That favors Pittsburgh...Bills are about speed and fast strike and even their RB is a small speed guy.

The Bills vs Steelers will be played Monday instead of Sunday due to a travel ban in Buffalo.

Buffalo is forecasting 1-3ft of snow with winds over 65mph. Honestly good call by the NFL and NYs Governor to move the game for safety reasons. BUT, did they have to make it a 4:30 kickoff on a Monday? Like seriously who's gonna be able to watch this game

The conditions are obviously going to be far too treacherous to ask fans to traverse to a football game, but I wonder if the NFL is going to use this as a trial balloon of sorts to extend Wild Card weekend to a six-game, three-day weekend permanently. It reminds me of how the 2017 Steelers-Chiefs Divisional Round game was moved from 1:05 p.m. Eastern to 8:20 p.m. Eastern due to an ice storm, and delivered a huge TV rating to NBC. The NFL looked and that and realized that they could get higher TV ratings by pushing the games closer to primetime, so the usual 1:05/4:40 start times became 3:05/6:40 in 2019 and the league has never looked back.

What happens if Bills/Steelers gets PPD to tuesday, will the divisional round have to be pushed back a week leading to the conference championship being on February 4th? (thus canceling the pro bowl unless the super bowl gets pushed back to Feb. 18 which also happens to be the same day as the Daytona 500 and the NBA All Star Game)

Now that the Pro Bowl is no longer a game I kinda wish all the stuff was the day before the Superbowl and maybe spill over into early Sunday afternoon. It's not like the Superbowl really needs all 16 hours of goddamn pregame it currently has.

It's not like the Superbowl really needs all 16 hours of goddamn pregame it currently has. There was a time when the pro bowl took place the week after the super bowl. If the chain reaction of rescheduling does take place, I could see the Pro Bowl going to the week after the big game

I'd prefer if they just move the start of the season back one week and have Super Bowl Sunday be the day before President's day.

I'd prefer if they just move the start of the season back one week and have Super Bowl Sunday be the day before President's day. If that happens, NASCAR and the NBA will throw a hissy fit as the NBA All Star Game and Daytona 500 fall on Presidents Day Weekend and thus the All Star Game moves to Saturday Night (3 point and skills contest pregame and slam dunk contest at halftime) and Daytona 500 gets moved up to high noon eastern as a result

I'm not expecting Browns to go to the Super Bowl this year, but a Conference Championship would be nice
