Everyone remembers the big moments and winners of the 30 man (or woman) Rumble matches. But sometimes the singles or tag matches get overlooked or forgotten. What are some standout matches you remember that don't get the credit they deserve? Ones worth watching or rewatching years later?
I saw Edge vs HBK 2005 again recently. Edge wasn't fully into his heel persona he would adapt later as Rated R Superstar but still a really solid match. What else stands out to you?

My go to answer for this is Valentine vs Garvin from 1990. They just chop the crap out of each other in a match that wouldn't feel out of place on a Crockett show.

Shawn Michaels vs Marty Janetty at Royal Rumble 93.

I've been rewatching the early 90s RR and just finished 91 Sunday. Warrior and Slaughter is actually pretty solid. I mean they aren't pulling out shining wizards or chain wrestling, but Slaughter bumps his ass off for Warrior. You couple that with the storyline with Savage and it is pretty damn good.

Despite being heel vs heel, Kurt Angle Vs Triple H from Royal Rumble 2001 was a pretty good match and totally blew their tepid affair from Unforgiven 2000 out of the water.

Tatanka vs. Bam Bam at Royal Rumble 1994. A nice, energetic opener and the crowd was hot for it.

Bossman/Barbarian from '91 was better than I would have ever expected.

Ambrose v KO from 2016 is outstanding.
Dudleyz v E&C is a perfect Rumble opener from 2001. Hot crowd and hot tag team division at the time. Dudleyz winning the belts for me in particular was great as they were my favourites at the time.

Cena vs. Umaga Last Man Standing My God, yes. Umaga's best match ever, Cena's best match until that point and an absolute clinic in how to get someone over in defeat.

Cena vs. Umaga Last Man Standing My God, yes. Umaga's best match ever, Cena's best match until that point and an absolute clinic in how to get someone over in defeat. Umaga/Cena is so good that it tends to overshadow the pretty good Kennedy vs Batista from the same show. I mean, it would have to be good as it was so well put together that it convinced everyone that Kennedy had the in-ring chops to match his mic work.

Another good WWE title match was The Rock Vs Chris Jericho from Royal Rumble 2002, those two always worked well together and this match was no exception especially with the match long storyline of Jericho using every single dirty trick in the book to best the challenger (low blows, run ins, foreign objects and finally pinning Rocky with his feet on the ropes.)
By far the best match of Jericho's first (Undisputed) reign.

The 2014 rumble was pretty dog shit overall but it opened with that Danielson/Bray Wyatt banger

Barbarian and Bossman at the 91 Rumble is an underrated gem and far exceeded expectations.

Harley Race vs. Haku in 1989. Just two guys going right at each other. Sweet, clean finish that nicely passes the torch to Haku (although his push didn't last much longer). I was so pissed as a kid that this got left off the Coliseum Video release.

The Rockers vs The Orient Express from 91 is another great one. If only Vince had just allowed Badd Company to be Badd Company.
