In the 60s-90s there were a lot of "fantasy" sitcoms with sci-fi/supernatural themes like Mork and Mindy, I Dream of Jeannie, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, etc, but they pretty much went extinct starting with the 90s. Could the subgenre make a comeback? Ghosts (the only one that's currently airing AFAIK) is a big hit for CBS, and streaming could be a great home for out-there premises.

I've always been open for a good Medieval Fantasy comedy. Or good comedy show set in space.

A few years before the US adaptation of Ghosts you have What We Do In the Shadows, which is still airing. And that's about a group of vampires living in Staten Island. And a few years before that you had The Good Place which is set in heaven. They're probably not as prevalent as they once were, but the ones that have a strong enough cast and writing behind them seem to end up being hits and having decent runs. I've always been open for a good Medieval Fantasy comedy. Or good comedy show set in space. As far as medieval sitcoms go, I think one of the seasons of that Daniel Radcliffe show Miracle Workers is set in that period.
