This Sunday will be a gridiron rumble as 2 Super Bowl 58 qualifying matches take place.
Both are #1s versus #3s. Will a number 3 win and be the one? Or will #1 drop a #3 two times over?
(Times Eastern.)
3:00 PM Kansas City Chiefs at Baltimore Ravens on CBS
6:30 PM Detroit Lions at San Francisco 49ers on FOX

What result do I want? Either NFC team over either AFC team, but preferably anyone but the Chiefs winning is cool.

Went 3 for 4 on my division round predictions (got KC @ Buffalo wrong).
Picking Ravens over Chiefs.
Niners vs Lions depends a lot on if Deebo Samuel can play or not. If not, I think the Lions pull off the upset

I’m probably one of the few non-Chiefs fans that wouldn’t be mad at them winning. The Taylor shit is annoying but it is what it is.
Much like Josh Allen, if Lamar doesn’t get it done against Mahomes this time around it’s probably never happening. I still see the Ravens winning it all but Sunday is going to be very interesting.

I'm to the point where whatever maximizes Taylor Swift on TV is what's going to happen. It's obviously god's will, and she apparently really hates us.

One of my friends is a Chiefs fan. Another is a Lions fan. I Ned this Super Bowl to happen. That text thread would be amazing.

Niners win.
Some other team wins, it doesn’t matter.
Niners lose to the AFC.
(I clicked the wrong option)

Mahomes is Mahomes so it's not going to be easy, but I'm still rolling with my Ravens.
Rooting for the Lions, but I think the 49ers win.

Kansas City Chiefs at Baltimore Ravens: Mahomes has reached the "don't bet against him in the playoffs" level last held by Tom Brady. Baltimore looks like they're a complete team. Something has to give. Baltimore 30 KC 24
Detroit Lions at San Francisco 49ers: 'Frisco is the heavy favorite to win it all and has been for most of the year. Detroit is the sentimental pick. Ah, what the hell, Detroit 24 SF 21

The Ravens could win by effectively grounding the Chiefs' porous run defense into a fine powder. Kansas City surrendered nearly 2,000 yards on the ground this season to the tune of a 25th-ranked 4.5 yards per carry. This suits Baltimore's offense, which had a league-best 2,661 rushing yards in 2023 at a clip of just about 5 yards per carry. The Ravens' rushing game could control the game's tempo and clock and wear out Kansas City's defense.
The Chiefs, however, could win because the NFL really wants Taylor Swift to be in a luxury suite at Super Bowl LVIII.

The Chiefs, however, could win because the NFL really wants Taylor Swift to be in a luxury suite at Super Bowl LVIII. You know no one actually ever beats the Chiefs this way right? Let's look at the Chiefs' losses: Week 1 against Detroit: the Lions rush for 118 yards on 34 carries (3.47 yards per carry), while throwing 35 times for 253 yards. Week 8 in Denver: the Broncos rush for 153 yards on 40 carries (3.82 YPC), while throwing 19 times for 114 yards. Week 11 against Philadelphia: the Eagles rush for 114 yards on 27 carries (4.22 YPC), while throwing 22 times for 150 yards. Week 13 in Green Bay: the Packers rush for 129 yards on 25 carries (5.16 YPC), while throwing 36 times for 267 yards. Week 14 against Buffalo: the Bills rush for 118 yards on 28 carries (4.21 YPC), while throwing 42 times for 233 yards. Week 16 against Las Vegas: the Raiders rush for 157 yards on 29 carries (5.41 YPC), while throwing 21 times for 62 yards. Outside of week 1, when it was more the Lions' passing game that won it, and week 13 when the whole of the Packers offense shredded Kansas City, the blueprint is there to beat the Chiefs - run on them, run early, and run often.

Lets not use the regular season this year as any kind of litmus test, pretty obvious this team was bored, the post season started and the switch flipped.

Lets not use the regular season this year as any kind of litmus test, pretty obvious this team was bored, the post season started and the switch flipped. You're citing two games in which the Dolphins fell behind early and had to throw the ball and the Bills mysteriously gave up on running the ball - despite averaging 4.7 yards per carry - over a 17-game regular season in which the Chiefs were ghastly at stopping the run and five of their six losses were attributable to their inability to stop the opposing ground game.
