5. All of the booking made sense, and nothing was *terrible* like it was botched filled or offensive, but it was a fairly predictable and deliberately uncontroversial Rumble show. Without elaborating further, I get why that is.

Women's rumble was sloppy and the pacing was off but the surprises were fun and Jade looked good ; I had no interest in both middle-of-the-card matches, so... ; and men's rumble just left me cold from start to finish, especially the finish since i was already burned out on Punk and Cody when they were still in AEW. So a huge fat meh, overall.
Collision was great, though.

I enjoyed myself. A solid 8. And the fact that some folks seriously thought the rock was gonna be in this match. Take a deep breath or 10 lol

Women's Rumble was the best (but a bit sloppy in places) and had the most highlights for me.
Men's Rumble was pretty meh.
Middle two matches really didn't prove to me that WWE had changed like people seemed to be excited about it changing.
Disappointing. Rated it a 3. Not a great show to give the company another shot for.

It sucked. 4/10. I can’t believe a last two of Punk and Cody was such a snooze fest. There was zero drama. Big part of it was just how completely out of it Punk was. No clue how he degenerated that much in, what, four months, but he looked completely spent well before the ending. He honestly looked better when he debuted in AEW after years out of the ring than he did here after months.

I have my doubts that Ricochet was Part of The Deal. Looking at everyone else who was there late, you certainly wouldn't have a guy who doesn't rock the boat as much as Pee Pictures would there...

4 The woman's Rumble was good (not great because one of my qualifications for a truly great Rumble is at least some nostalgia entrants) Bayley winning was very nice, though it makes it quite difficult to get around that she already declared she is challenging Rhea. I'd much rather they just do Bayley vs Rhea. Because Becky vs IYO would slap! The 4 way sucked and was boring. Paul vs KO was mid, and poorly placed. It should have opened. Men's Rumble was complete butt and Cody was the wrong choice to win. We did that already last year. It wasn't awesome enough to want to do again. Overall a boring slog of a show to get through.
Someone mentioned it in the chat thread, but man do they need better theme songs. I watch week to week and I can barely recognize the themes. A good theme should have you at the first note. I barely knew who was coming in until I saw them. I should know as soon as the music hits. I think that lack of great entrance pops really made this already not great Rumble show even worse.

The good:
- Couldn't have done a better job of introducing Jade to the audience. - Bayley was the right winner. - Cody v Punk was exciting. - Some of the women's rumble spots were fun, I particularly enjoyed the Chelsea Green and Piper Niven antics. - Using NXT instead of legends (I heard Bron was a last-minute replacement for Brock) is wise.
The bad:
- Roman defenses are a waste of time outside of WM. - Logan Paul's entourage being allowed to do whatever they want makes everyone look foolish. - The commentary was dire, Pat McAfee is a manchild who only cares about putting himself over and Graves has really regressed. - No real stories for the men's rumble until the last two. In fact, nothing interesting happened until then. - The camera angles/cuts were weird. Don't tell us we were wrong about wee Kev all the long. - The midcards of both divisions are not over and with the main eventers aging and looking at non-wrestling endeavors, the post-Roman/Becky era looks to have major challenges.
A 4 for me.

4/10.
The matches were all fine and it was just meh.
Gotta give them the credit though, right up until the pre-show, there were enough red herrings I didn't think Cody/Roman 2 was happening, but once the pre-show hit, they made it painfully obvious Cody was winning.

Give it a 6.
Everything was properly booked, but nothing spectacular whatsoever. Highlights for me included the Women's Rumble match, Jordynne Grace, Chelsea being repeatedly murdered, and the return of Andrade... even if it doesn't amount to much in the long run.

7, it was fine. Nothing mindblowing, nothing horrible. Can't help but think something was missing, though, I'm not sure why.
Jade looked like a star, and wrestled a pretty clean match. She came away from this looking really good. I'm hoping for some awesome matches in the future.
Jimmy Uso continues to look like a chump. Having him eliminated so unceremoniously made very little sense and nothing he did with Jey made me want to see them eventually fight. For some reason, I feel as if there may have been some last-minute changes (perhaps because of Brock). Some of the eliminations made very little sense.
Cody and Bayley are both deserving winners. I have no complaints there. Roman, whatever, just finish it. Clever finish for Paul/Owens. I really thought Kev had him. Kinda wish Kevin would have went on a rampage and gotten himself suspended again.
It was fun and all, but probably ends up as a mid-tier Rumble (and event) when all is said and done. It was all right.

6. I liked lots of smaller parts individually, but the event didn't really come together as a whole. It's hard to excited about a 4-match show, and 2 of those 4 matches are 60-minute rumbles. The women's match was easily better than the men's match. Glad CM Punk didn't win, glad Cody Rhodes won. Jade Cargill is minted. Nia Jax sucks. Happy to see no returning legends surprise entrances for once. Would love to see WWE and TNA do more inter-promotional work.

I went with 7. I enjoyed it for the most part. Glad to see Bayley win. The four way was fine though we all knew Roman wasn't dropping the belt. Logan Paul/KO was good I thought. Logan is a piece of crap but give the devil his due, he's been better in ring than I ever expected. The Men's Rumble was okay though nothing spectacular. I personally would've preferred Punk over Cody but I'm fine with it as long as they don't just job Cody out again. I'm not his biggest fan but it'd be stupid just to have him lose again after all this build up of finishing the story. But overall, I enjoyed the show. It wasn't the best Royal Rumble event ever but I can't complain too much about it

That was awful, honestly
Right winners, fun Rumble ends, the Rumbles were a chore to get there, and both other matches were just throwaway nothing. Having a Dusty Finish on a four match card is a choice... 4 for the right winners.

Two back to back matches with screwy finishes too. One being a "yeah, duh" foregone conclusion and the other one being a stupid heel win.
I think it put a lot of unnecessary pressure on the men's Rumble too, to make up for what came before being such a pointless downer.
