The good news is, she did not look out of place out there. She made an already really good match even better.
It seems like NXT struggles with the Women’s Breakout winners in particular since (unlike the men) there is no second title to potentially let them win. Like Oba for example, he isn’t ready for the world title. Fine, let him win the NA Title instead. The Women do not have that so it’s very hard to book the breakout winners to actually win when they cash in.
NXT needs a Women’s IC belt or something.

Lola saw how bad the match was and so she ran in to save it. She didn't care about winning the title—all she cared about was the quality of the match. She is truly a selfless individual. She really is la reina (the queen).

I think something that people here are forgetting is that Lola botched a lot of her offense last night as well. Until she figures out a character identity past "shaking her ass", she's likely never winning a title in the company.

This was a big test for her and she totally passed; she’s still very much a work in progress, but it’s easy to forget she’s still so new (she only had her first match in November 2022). Definitely future champion material. |
