The Arnold movies were my introduction to Conan and how I first became a fan. It wasn't until later that I discovered the comics and became a big fan of Robert E. Howard's writing. Howard is ridiculously underrated and for me his Hyboria is even more fascinating than Tolkein's Middle Earth.

The stories I got into 15 years ago maybe 17. Comics were everywhere when I was a kid. Then the 2 films.
Forgot about the 2 cartoons and live acton tv show.

you forgot the Jason Momoa Conan movie.
sure the only good thing about it was Ron Pearlman as Conan's father.
voted the Arnie movies.

you forgot the Jason Momoa Conan movie. sure the only good thing about it was Ron Pearlman as Conan's father. voted the Arnie movies. I liked the Momoa film. Felt closer to the stories than the Arnold films. |

I've never watched nor read any Conan the Barbarian stuff. Just never got around to it. I should remedy that sometime.
