If Oasis gets in, who'll come and accept the induction? Their parole officer

How the hell is it 2024 and Ozzy is not already in? He's already in for Black Sabbath, who got inducted in 2006. This would be him as a solo artist.

If Oasis gets in, who'll come and accept the induction? I think Liam and Noel arent as bad since Noel got a divorce. I recall Noel talking about Rock Hall giving him a personal tour of the building and at the end the executive who walked him through went "so you guys will be up for induction soon" and Noel told him "I wont go if Liam is there, so dont do it, because there is no reunion happening" if no reunion I see Liam and Bonehead accepting since it was their name to begin with.

Kind of an eh list for me if I’m being honest. If I had to choose based on my own personal taste: Ozzy, Tribe, Jane’s Addiction, Sade, Eric B & Rakim. Still annoyed Joy Division/New Order didn’t get in last year and they ain’t even on the list this year! I would have put Joy Division/New Order in over anyone in this list this year other than maybe Ozzy. As much as I love Oasis Joy Division/New Order should have been in years before Oasis could be nominated.

There are a lot of nominees who I can't believe aren't already in. Like, you could've told me that Mariah Carey, Cher, Eric B. and Rakim, Peter Frampton, Kool and the Gang, Sinead O'Connor, and Ozzy Osbourne were all inducted a decade ago and I would've believed you.

Am I bad for barely knowing who Sade is? The only Sade song I've ever actually been remotely aware of is "Smooth Operator."

Foreigner, Peter Frampton and Ozzy Osbourne
are the only nominees for this year's class of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame that I ever want to see get inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

My picks would be Foreigner, Oasis, Ozzy, Sinead and ATCQ. But I would have no issues with pretty much anyone on that list going in, except maybe Dave Matthews Band. Never been a fan.

You guys are drunk if you think Mariah Carey ain't a first ballot Hall Of Famer. All she wanted for Christmas is to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Usually takes a long time for a solo induction if you’re already in for a group. A couple years ago, people went nuts when they thought Tina Turner was finally being inducted…only to find out she went in with Ike in the first or second class and this was for her solo stuff.

You guys are drunk if you think Mariah Carey ain't a first ballot Hall Of Famer. People get a hair across their ass about a pop star getting inducted into the "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame," but it has never purely been a Hall of Fame dedicated to rock and roll music. Its inaugural class in 1986 included notable non-rock artists such as Ray Charles and Sam Cooke, and the trend continued every year thereafter. It's always been a celebration of popular music in America.

Rock also has its roots in old school R&B, Blues, etc. Rock and a lot of other genres of pop music like modern R&B and hip hop are basically all cousins of each other.

You guys are drunk if you think Mariah Carey ain't a first ballot Hall Of Famer. I mean, I'm a music fan not a music historian so I picked my personal favourites from the list not the actual most deserving. This is the problem bullshit limitations on how many can be inducted, it should be a set threshold like 70% of voters to get in regardless if 1 person hits that bar or 10. But I realize it's not a real hall of fame, it's a business enterprise and things are decided based on boosting attendance and TV ratings rather then actual merit and legitimate voting

It's not like this is the WWE HOF which not only doesn't have any sort of physical museum but was chosen entirely based on the whims of Vince McMahon.
