I've already made a thread earlier in the day 'bout my love for one Grover Monster of Sesame Street fame. Might as well mention another guy who helped shaped a young Slim's mind as he read all kinds of words on the Electric Company. Yes boys and girls, it's one of Morgan Freeman's greatest roles- Easy Reader- Title: Easy Reader theme – first version Composer: Joe Raposo / Elaine Laron Lead vocals: Morgan Freeman, Rita Moreno Backing vocals: none Scene: Morgan and Rita singing the theme in front of Stanley the word board. [MF] Easy Reader. That’s my name. Uh, uh, uh. Readin’, readin’. That’s my game. Uh, uh, uh. Top to bottom, left to right, That readin’ stuff is out of sight. Easy Reader. That’s my name. Uh, uh, uh. I groove on all the words around. Uh, uh, uh. As long as they are written down. Uh, uh, uh. [RM] Readin’s heavy. Readin’s tough. He never seems to get enough. [MF] Easy Reader. That’s my name. Uh, uh, uh. I’m a readin’ man, and it’s words I seek. Every word I see, I just gotta speak. [RM] He’s a first-class genuine readin’ freak. [MF, RM] Easy Reader, that’s my/his name. Easy Reader, that’s my/his name. Respect this man.
