Not the best, your favorite. So it could literally be any of these choices.
So which NXT Women's champion entertained you the most during their title reign?

I'm mostly just amazed at the amount of these where the words coming to mind are either, "That went nowhere," or, "That dragged on forever and was really boring."

Asuka. She was the final boss of the entire NXT brand when she was champion. That was nuts.

Asuka was synonymous with that NXT women’s title reign. It was like the perfect title reign. No one was ready for her. (my vote)
Bayley is also a good choice just for her arc when she finally won it. Insane storytelling and organic growth for her.
Shayna Bayzler also had an unstoppable reign, where she might have been the best built up “dreaded” heel women’s champ ever. Whenever her music came on, you know someone was gonna get destroyed. It’s a shame Bayzler is no longer presented as intimidating of a presence as she once was. Her killer aura was very genuine.

Asuka was the best but favourite was Bayley. NXT Brooklyn possibly the greatest women’s match in WWE history, the iron woman main event and she was the Champ for NXT London (best atmosphere I’ve seen at a wrestling show). Her arc from when she debuted on NXT to winning the title was also a great one.

My thought was "How are the Joshi girls booked so well on NXT but so... not, when they get called up?" In Sareee's case she didn't even get the "Booked in NXT well" part.

I think it was one of the best booked titles up until Charlotte came back to NXT. There were issues (Shayna’s death grip on the title being the big standout) but from 2013-2020 it felt so important, had great matches and helped solidify several women as big stars for the brand. It really represented the best of NXT.
Then it all kind of fell apart for me personally. Charlotte’s return could have been something great but I think NXT in general struggled creatively during Covid and it ended up being a dud. Io felt overdue but her reign didn’t set the world on fire, and she lost to Raquel who ultimately made no impression as a champion. Mandy’s reign was entertaining but NXT had by this point really devolved, and Roxanne’s crowning was premature (but of course this was wasn’t the plan). Her reign was also unfortunately poor, followed by Indi’s bafflingly pointless reign. Tiffany could and should have been a great champion but got unfortunately cut short for other plans; Becky’s short reign ended up being the best for years. Lyra has been…decent.
I’d say my favourite champ is Bayley. Her crowning was one of the best matches ever with Sasha, with the two having a similarly amazing follow up. She had various opponents with varying skill sets and experience and had solid matches with every one of them (Nia Jax, Carmella, Eva freakin’ Marie!). Her loss against Asuka was another great match and a great moment.

Shayna played that version of herself so well, right down to conveying her glee at tormenting her opponents, or at least enjoying their misery. The Marina/Jessamyn interference sometimes got formulaic, but her character work stayed strong. I thought she and Kairi had great chemistry in 2018, and the end of her reign was also excellent with the first women's Wargames and the title loss to Rhea.

Charlotte's second reign is an interesting one. There's a reasonable chance it wouldn't have happened if not for COVID suddenly making it very easy to work two shows a week (people forget that the multi-show Sasha/Bayley stuff was foreshadowed by Charlotte doing the same thing prior to taking time off after IYH). The WM 36 match was excellent and the IYH triple-threat was fun, but then they didn't really do much with the reign between those matches. As she was consistently on Raw, she only had a couple of NXT singles matches (one with Mia) and a surprisingly fun tag with Chelsea Green as her partner.

Io the only champ that could have Kakeguru accompany her to the ring.
