What is going to read here is not to be seen by anyone over 13.
f*** Marble Madness. Honestly, what was anyone thinking when we bought this game for full price? f***ing shit, the first 3 levels take less than 2 minutes to complete, but don't act like it was even possible to get past the 3rd or 4th level. And even if you did kill yourself getting to that, there was what, 6 levels all in total? God damnit, that game is cheap, and hard, i mean, lets say you make it to the 4th level, they give you about 10 seconds to complete it. It's bullshit, f***ing bullshit those assholes.
Someone share their frustration, THERE'S NO WAY A 5 YEAR OLD ME COULD BEAT THIS f***ING GAME, f***ING CHRIST

I had that game and it was hard. waxing gravity.
But I liked it. It was a nice challenge.
But my Dad never payed full price for it. It was a pirate copy for the Amiga.

I feel ya, man.
I rented it, blew through the first couple of levels .... and brought it back about two hours (and several pre-pubescent obscenities) later.
Eff Marble Madness. Eff it right in its ear. Jerk.

I rented it back in the day. It had dust in the cartridge so I had to resort to the ol' smack and blow routine-- which while sounding nasty really insist, just one way to 'fix' a non working game-- from there it was ok, but nothing I wanted to own. I mean it was marbles going down a course, even if it wasn't hard there was not a lot of fun to be had by me.

I have it. It was too boring to do. Maybe when I played it, I was too young to appreciate that style of game but give me Zelda II any day.

My sister's friend had it on her Game Gear back when I lived in Chicago. I remember getting frustrated and almost hurling the thing across the room. Granted, I was 5, but still, f*** that marbles and its falling into holes! That's why I will never play Super Monkey Ball.

The title is so misleading. Madness. I thought there'd be explosions with marbles. But it was just moving a marble down a skinny block.

It's one of my favorite arcade games.
Well, thanks to Midway Arcade Treasures for the PS2, it is lol.

That was such a horrible game! You can't control the physics of a marble with a mere genesis controller- needless to say, that was one of the least played games of my collection....

It just upsets me that I didn't get to play it when I was younger. I get addicted to these kinds of games rather easily.

One second ud be crawling, the next just speeding for no reason what so ever, and there were monsters that were just green dots that would destroy u no matter what, it sucked

I just said in an earlier post I played it in Midway Arcade Treasures. Had probably one of the biggest sighs of relief when I finally completed the game.

This game had a similar fate as Defender, Tempest, and Track and Field. Great stand up arcade games. Totally original and unique. Problem was when you put it onto a home console with the crappy home console controllers these games seem like ridiculous in comparison.
Madness was a great game and with the ball roller, you have much more control. Still a difficult (how do you say) waxing game, but not the waste of time the Midway Classics makes it out to be.
Another one that doesn't work at home was Paperboy.
Anyone remember decathalon for Atari 2600? I can pinpoint my carpal tunnel syndrome to that game. Wax This Decathalon.
