Ok guys, For the past couple of weeks I've been sort of an insomniac. I've been having trouble sleeping at night. It is freaking annoying, especially when I need alot of rest for the busy days following. Anybody have any tips or whatever to help me fall asleep more easily?

Honestly? Go to your local pharmacy (or pharmacy-like place where they sell over-the-counter meds) and buy a bottle of Melatonin. Take one, and if you aren't feeling drowsy in an hour or so, take another. (but try not to take more than two, 'cause it makes ya feel weird - did for me, anyway.) If that doesn't work, then I don't know what to tell ya. Tylenol P.M. maybe, but that can be habit-forming (and liver-screwing) whereas Melatonin is a natural chemical in your body that sometimes just needs a little kick-start.
I hope that helps. I've battled weird sleep patterns since I was little, and started taking Melatonin as needed about a year ago; I've slept well ever since.

Warm milk is supposed to help, but I couldn't imagine anyone sick enough to enjoy the taste of that. Actually, any milk helps. They did studies were they loaded people up on coffee and another set of people up on milk....the people who drank milk fell asleep more easily, despite the fact the milk was laced with caffeine.
Also, for real, masturbation kinda works....but only if you, uh, fire off some knuckle children.....

If you have the energy, hit the gym. Really push yourself. Not only will you sleep. You'll sleep well.
Or, you know, watch WWE.

Try listening to some music, preferrably easy listening music.

I can't get to sleep at night b/c my brain won't stop thinking- the only thing that works is listening to wrestlecrap radio on my iPod while im trying to sleep. And I know it sounds like im plugging the show or whatever, but this is literally what I do- every night.

I use Benadryl. Works well as long as I don't take it too often (never take it more than 2 consecutive days).

This is becoming my gimmick on these boards, but listen to a half hour guided meditation CD in bed. It should talk about relaxing every part of your body from the top of your head to the tips of your toes. These work so well for insomnia that it can be hard to do them earlier in the day.

Kinda more preventative, but watch what you drink after dinner. If it's soda, you're gonna get all that caffiene.
