Been binging on so much Sting content this week, thought in these last few hours before Revolution we'd share some of our favorite lesser-known Sting bouts.
I love the summer 1993 WCW Saturday Night match against Ric Flair. While not as historically significant as the Clash or Bash classics, I'd say in terms of the match itself it's on-par as an absolute master class. Additionally, I'd say it's on the same level of Hulk Hogan vs Ultimate Warrior in terms of doing a face vs face match right.
What are your must-see less-heralded Sting classics? Any era.

Honestly, I loved BattleBowl 91 where it's a two ring battle royal leading to a singles match with the last two so Sting has to overcome a ring full of big dudes while Lex Luger is waiting in an empty ring. Some prime "Sting overcomes the odds" fun.

Sting v Booker T at Spring Stampede 2000. It's not a MOTY or anything but on a card that was mostly 3 minute matches with dirty finishes it felt like a breath of fresh air.
Sting and Benoit had a good world title match on Nitro during his brief world title reign in late 1999.
A year before their more famous title change match Sting and DDP had a good face v face title match on Nitro in early 1998.
Another face v face against Goldberg in late 1998 was fun until Hogan ruined the ending. The crowd was on fire and it really should have been a Starrcade main event level match. I'm not even sure why Hogan interfered actually. He was feuding with Warrior, Sting was about to feud with Bret and Goldberg was set to face DDP so I don't get how Hogan played into anything other than it was the Nitro main event and Hogan had to be involved.

Couldn’t tell you the year probably like 93-95 but it was a handicap match between Sting vs. Men at Work on an episode of Saturday Night. I’d never seen a handicap match before so Sting looked like such a badass beating two guys by himself.

I loved his submission match against Cactus Jack on Power Hour back in '91.

As much of a shit show as Warrior’s WCW run was, that tag team reunion match was a mark out moment
