Yeah yeah yeah Daniel Bryan gets squashed by Brock instead of Cena. But also the Wyatt Family would have faced Cena, Big Show and...Justin Bieber.
I'm surprised I've barely heard about this but according to Big Show it came close to happening.
That is somehow even more random than Umaga v Jackass in terms of celeb Summerslam matches that fell through.
I'm trying to imagine the spooky Wyatts selling a dropkick or something from Biebs. It would probably be more surreal than seeing Hogan writhing in pain from a Jay Leno armbar.

That would have been terrible. That's one of Bieber's worst years. Dude was in his prime in 2015 but 2014? Man was getting punched by Orlando Bloom and shit.

The crowd would have hated him with a passion. It's just a question of if they thought the publicity it would get would be worth the live crowds shitting all over it. I just remembered Daniel Bryan v Charlie Sheen is another celeb match that almost happened at a Summerslam in 2012.

So us fans were WINNING when we didn’t get that one. Hehehe (Remember Charlie Sheens old catchphrase from 10 years ago?)

Works for Logan Paul I'm not sure Bieber or his team would've agreed to him being a heel but him being a little prick and hiding behind heel wrestlers like Kevin Federline did would've probably gotten the babyface who kicked his ass huge pops.

The Bieber turnaround didn’t start until he dropped “Cold Water” with Major Lazer. That’s when he broke from babyish bubblegum into more club friendly music.

It took a while for him to break out of his old image. I think in our generation we hadn't seen kids mature to adults musically in that way at that level but hey he did it.
Reminds me of what people back in the day thought of MJ when he went from the Jackson 5/Jacksons to being a solo star. I wonder if it was jarring for them.

As much as MJ grew to hate the press, the Jacksons were lucky in that era not to have a TMZ following them around in the late 70s and early 80s, and plus their image was extremely tightly controlled, so things like Joe and Katherine’s marriage problems and Michael wanting to go solo wasn’t in the headlines as much as Bieber’s public mental breakdown did.

I remember this rumour at the time, and I 100% agree with the person in the company who said the fans would have hated it and him
That said it likely would have got a lot of attention

As if the Wyatt Family's aura needed to be destroyed any more by Cena.

Bray trying to brainwash the Beliebers would have been some excellent television.
Cena, Beiber and Big Show in 2014? The Wyatt Family would have been over like Austin in 98.

There's almost no overlap between people who liked Justin Bieber in 2014 and people who like wrestling. Hell, if there was any overlap, it would be between people who hated Bieber in 2014 and people who like wrestling, but there was no way either side was letting him work as a heel. Yeah, I'm with the nameless WWE exec on this one, it just wouldn't have worked.
