Saturday version: www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRfQEft17sISunday version: www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQ1qXc0A00oThese two videos are of the same episode. One of them aired in Boston on Saturday while the other aired in New York City on Sunday. Since Saturday Night's Main Event aired on Fox that weekend, the WWF created two versions of the episode. On the Saturday version, SNME is hyped throughout the episode while on the Sunday version, what happened on SNME is acknowleged. Everything with Monsoon and Heenan is different in each version, plus the Sunday version has a segment (Sid Justice destroying The Barber Shop) that wasn't shown in the Saturday markets until the next week.

Wow! The episode was taped from the Lee Civic Crnter in Fort Myers, Fl. I moved to that area in 2006 (actually in Bonita Springs, the next town over). I still live here and while I never been to that arena, I have been to the Hertz arena for WWE shows. Interesting how different both versions are.

They did the same thing in 1991 and 1994 when the Rumble aired on Saturday. For Saturday versions of the 1991 episode, they had an interview segment where Dibiase said nobody should feel sorry for the way he treats Virgil. Obviously this segment didnt air on the Sunday version. For 1994, the Sunday version of Challenge aired at what was said to be Todd Pettingill's house where he had linking segments between the matches that alluded to the Rumble results without actually giving results.

They did the same thing in the weekend of the November 1992 SNME. The Saturday version had a Bulldog IC title defense, and the Sunday version a replay of Shawn Michael winning the IC title from Bulldog. I have seen the Saturday version, I would love see the Sunday version, love to see how they handle those "Warrior rumors".

All the while plugging the encore presentation airing on Tuesday night (remember those days?) and saying that we can see the great match that was Tatanka vs. Ludvig Borga. A match that didn’t happen due to Ludvig’s injury and they even announced before the show on Mania that he wasn’t participating. So I’m sure Todd plugging how great that match was confused young fans.

The Saturday version of Challenge had Michaels vs. Big Boss Man. They did two versions of both Superstars and Challenge before/after the 1991 Royal Rumble. After that, it looks like they only made alternate versions of Challenge. There are no details out there for Sunday versions of Superstars after the Feb. and Nov. 1992 SNMEs or after the 1994 Royal Rumble.
