Tuxedo match might be able to work if you had the right people.
On no planet will B+P work anymore. Literally the only possible way would be if you had the person who lost be in like the most conservative version of bra and panties, like a RTC Ivory or Molly Holly kind of heel gimmick. No matter how evolved and culturally different people may feel now, there's no way a serious women's wrestler can be stripped down and be wearing something like what Trish/Tori/Stacy etc used to wear in these matches and be seen in the same way as a serious competitor. Unfair? Sure. Sexist? Definitely. True? Unfortunately also yes. Try to imagine the entire "match" and what the fan reaction would be or what the commentators would say....this type of match will only lead to lots of unhappy people because of the sophomoric reactions of most of the commentary team and especially the crowd.

"Pretty" Peter Avalon should make the Tuxedo match his signature match and go around the indie circuit challenging people to put on a Tux and throw down

I was today years old when I discovered WCW did the B&P match first. I thought for sure it was one of the perverted ideas of the sex pest. It's Wrestling gotta be more specific on which Sex Pest you mean.

You would more likely get better story telling from one of those throw them in the pool/pudding/slime matches than bra and panties match.

They should do a match where the goal is to put a tuxedo or a bra and panties on your opponent. Tuxedo for women, B&P for men. School projects, man...

I'll agree with other posters that a tuxedo match could work as long as everyone leans into the absurdity of it.
Someone like Angle or Jericho could make it work. I could see Angle taking it seriously and having strategy sessions and psyching himself up, or Jericho having vignettes where he's testing various brands of tuxedos for their stretching capability, having serious conversations about stretch to rip ratio. And of course in the match having extremely awful oversized suits on.

Probably not…with the irony being that most of what the ladies wear isn’t that far off from underwear size already. It does seem that the more serious that women's wrestling gets in the US and UK, the skimpier the attire gets, and there is still a heavy emphasis on sex appeal. There always will be. Regardless of 'cancel culture', equality, etc.. sex does and will always sell. I'm not saying that's a bad thing at all, maybe a bit hypocritical, but each to their own. I will say that bra and panties matches are best left in the past.
