Thinking back last time I hit up an non Indie show was TNA 2 years ago. Bought two 16 oz sodas that cost me 10 bucks IIRC. Can't remember what snacks were last time I hit a WWE show. Was the PPV in June 2007. Guessing 4 bucks for a soda and that much if not more for a hotdog. Seems like southern indies have cheap tickets cheap snacks. "Playboy" Don Douglas you should do a tread rating the hot dogs at the shows you hit. Also just saw your @ name LOL never noticed that.

I always eat before hand as large venues in the UK charge and arm and a leg for food.
At Clash at the Castle they were selling £4 frozen Chicago Town pizzas for £16 each.

I sometimes forget that I hadn’t came up with the Don Douglas bit yet when I signed up here. Damn, I’ve been here for 20 years or so. That’s not a bad idea for a thread! I wish there were more shows around here. There’s a group that runs monthly about 45 minutes from here. I’ve been to a few of their shows, mostly when they’ve booked a name (Ricky Morton, Steamboat & Luger, Jimmy Golden) but for the most part the matches are good. They’re advertising Dr. Tom and Kane next month for the graduation of students from their wrestling school as well as Buff Bagwell, so I’m thinking of hitting that one. The hot dogs have always been good enough to get again. Other than that, it seems to be the occasional one off from a touring group like the Micros out of Pigeon Forge or OVW, but scheduling has never worked in my favor for one of those yet. I hit an AEW house show at the Corbin Arena with some friends last year and missed a WWE show at the same venue earlier this year. There’s just not much of a local scene around here anymore.

After hearing stories of what was in the fryers at the Dallas Sportatorium, I do not eat the food at wrestling shows.

After hearing stories of what was in the fryers at the Dallas Sportatorium, I do not eat the food at wrestling shows. Now yea this was over 30 years ago,but the reason I rarely ate fast food in high school was I had friends working at most of the fast food places. So was hearing horror stories about how nasty it was behind the counter. Like how the Wendys in town had sewer backing up into their cooler. Or howw Churches chicken almost didnt pass the health inspection every year. One thing I miss about going to shows in South Louisiana is most venues down there served Boudaine. Love that stuff. When we hit up Pro Wrestling 225's October show in Houma,Home of Swamp Thing,I had brought snacks with me. One advantage of being let in before doors open is no one checks your bags. But saw someone in the crowd eating a link and asked. Got some spicy crawfish boudaine and DAMN it was good. And for those that don't know boudaine is a Cajun kind of sausage. Made with rice, herbs and some kind of seafood or meat. Stuffed into a pig skin casing. Then you heat it up rip the casing open and eat the insides. Outside of South MS/La/Southeast TX I dont think it is easy to find.
