Last month, our favorite Chicago indy, Freelance Wrestling, took a break from their usual venue to do a show in an arcade bar, with video games on all sides, the bar itself, and then the ring in the back.
It…didn’t work, imo. Because it was in the back of the bar, you couldn’t actually see the wrestling directly because it was too crowded without enough space for fans to surround the ring on all sides, there was no seating by the ring, and while those who were further back could watch the action on the bar’s TV monitors, that just wasn’t as good. I appreciate the experimentation, but I hope they don’t repeat that gimmick.

Basically a small section of 5 story office building the audience looked like the peanut gallery from Howdy Dowdy

1. Indoor pool converted to event hall. 2. A big warehouse 3. Crossfit gym
Honorable mention to: Small concert venue with a balcony but you can't see half the ring from the balcony unless you are VERY strategic in positioning yourself.

ECW show at Kahunaville (now defunct beach-themed bar/club) in Delaware. My friend and I tried to see a show there once but his car broke down on the way.

They had a show right in the middle of South Street yesterday. There was apparently a show under an I95 overpass scheduled on Friday. What town was this? We've had street fair-type outdoors wrestling all the time in central Jersey. Usually at the Edison Fall Festival. WrestlePro had a few shows in the heart of Metuchen, similarly.
