Becky has a better fashion sense than Seth, but not by much. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

I love Seth but yeah I think she is. I genuinely think you could swap Becky for Seth in this Mania story and she wouldn't feel like as much of a fourth wheel as Seth does

In terms of star power, they're both on the same level. I also would say back in 2019, Becky was the most popular wrestler in the world thanks to her run as The Man while Seth was popular as well but not as popular than Becky was at the time.

The whole taking digs at Seth is just relying on some good old fashioned sexism. There's no denying Seth is a top star, they created a consolation belt just for him and have kept it on him long after it stopped making sense.
As others have said, Becky was at one point the most popular wrestler in the world. The reason they take digs at Seth is women aren't supposed to be that prominent in wrestling. For the past several decades WWE has largely treated them as a sideshow, as eye candy, as unimportant apart from a few people. Despite all the awesome stuff that the women have done in the past decade that has shown they can hang with the men and even out perform them, we still have entire divisions of women in WWE struggling to get matches that go longer than 5 minutes. The women rarely get stories that aren't centered around belts, their midcard reminds us of the worst of the divas era where they're lucky to just get on the show. Most of their actual character development is happening online.
So, when the guys rib Seth about Becky, it's basically the wrestling equivalent of 'haha, you got beat by a girl'. Becky calling herself the man just opens up more avenues about who 'really wears the pants' and other crap that might make more sense in the 80s and 90s than 2024.
Realistically Seth has a hall of fame career and a level of success that few others have managed. This is just cheap heat.

Yes but mostly because Becky has had such an all-time run.

If you compare Becky to Women's Wrestling and Seth to Men's Wrestling, I'd argue she is more "successful" than he is, by quite a bit. Becky stands with the all time great women where Seth is more in the next tier down. He ain't in the same tier has Hogan/Austin/Rock etc.
But I mean, that's kinda like trying to nitpick the differences between the top 1% and the top 2%

W/o knowing metrics, just perception wise, Becky comes off like the bigger star. Has, does and probably will for the remainder of their careers.

Becky is maybe a bit more successful, but if I could renew only one contract, it would be Seth's. I think Becky is kind of played out.

Becky was THE top star in the entire business for a year/year and a half.
No other woman has ever accomplished that before or since.
That being said. It’s quite lame that the only insults they can think of for Seth are about his clothes and wife.

No doubt Seth has been majorly successful but there’s always been a ‘but’ there. Even when he’s been the top champion he’s never really felt like ‘the guy’. Whether it be Lesnar, Cena or more often than not Roman ahead of him. His world title runs have usually blown. He’s been shoehorned into a mania tag match and currently holds the secondary world title created to avoid Roman losing his belts.
I would argue Becky has always seemed more natural than Seth. And Seth’s pro WWE tweets were massively cringe at one point. The only real blot on her copybook would be the falling out with Charlotte due to the tweets. Seth has also been a top guy for longer than Becky has. But if Becky is arguably the Austin/Hogan of the Women’s division Seth is probably HHH or Jericho.

In kayfabe they are equal. IRL, I'd give the edge to Becky as she has achieved more in the face of adversity. Seth, of course has achieved all he has through hard work and talent but a few things fell his way such as growing up in an athletic environment, coming up when US indies and of course ROH were at their peak, going into NXT when Dusty was in control and being introduced as a very strongly booked Shield member. Becky on the other hand comes from a part of the world where wrestling is very niche plus the disadvantages all women have in sports (less interest, funding, etc), she had serious injury woes and was seen as the literal red-headed stepchild of the four horsewomen for so long by management I would say her rise is probably the biggest rags to riches one of the modern era.

I look at this the same way it is looked at when people wanna compare Hogan and Austin as who was the bigger star.
Some give it to Hogan because he was ontop longer
Others give it to Austin because he arguably was a bigger star within a much shorter period of time
Seth has a longer more storied career.
But Becky achieved a level in her career that Seth never has
In the end I think Seth ends up as the bigger star long term because while his highs aren't quite as that year long high Becky had his lows are nowhere near hers so.

I agree with this because around 2016-mid 2018 until her heel turn, Becky was completely overshadowed by the rest of 4 Horsewoman and to an certain extent, Alexa Bliss in terms of booking and popularity. It was her run as The Man that elevated Becky into an new level of superstardom as she became the most popular star in wrestling while being the most popular star of the 4 Horsewoman as well.

Since Punk came back Rollins has really stepped up his serious promo work and due to the feud with Rock/Roman I'd put him on a par with Becky in terms of overall popularity (based on nothing but my own feeling) Prior to that though I always felt Becky was the way bigger star since her first run as The Man got so over. As someone who doesn't watch a lot, but keeps up with the product through here, news, and highlights, that's how I feel about the two of them. That initial run as The Man was no joke, people were comparing Becky to Steve Austin, and asking who out of those two was more significant!
