That LAUGH while the blood poured onto the mic last night?
Just….f***ing brilliant…
The latest in a looooong list of the little nuance things that make Swerve among the absolute best of the best besides his smooth as silk in ring work.
Joe as the Killer Big Bad/Thanos of AEW is great…but Swerve (hopefully) dethroning him is gonna be absolutely PEAK shit.

i went from being a little bitchy cause of that diddy line (i get that it was heat, just wasn't a fan) to stoked beyond belief and that's on Swerve for selling the story.
you gotta be real damn good at your job to have the shit beat out of you with a chain by sweet tooth and YOU come out of it looking like a bigger badass just with blood and mannerisms

Swerve laughing after getting busted open, then signing the contract in his blood was just great.

I’ll be honest I don’t think that was a legitimate signature from Swerve last night so if someone else signs the contract and he loses the title match he has only himself to blame

I'm not really feeling Joe these days although that Diddy line was great.
Swerve is fantastic though and should win at the PPV.

I'd normally hate someone just no-selling a chain but it's Samoa Joe and normal rules don't apply

I really want to see what the show looks like with Swerve as the focus

I'd normally hate someone just no-selling a chain but it's Samoa Joe and normal rules don't apply Yeah that moment was him going full Sweet Tooth. I half expect him to come to the ring with his head on literal fire at Dynasty :EDIT: What popped me was that moment when his facial expression went full “is this motherf***er really trying to choke me out with this raggedy ass chain?!”

I'm not really feeling Joe these days although that Diddy line was great. Swerve is fantastic though and should win at the PPV. I'm the opposite these days. Soon as Joe won the title I was hoping we'd see Swerve take title soon. Was happy with Joe just being a short transitional run. But longer Joe's run has gone on... I don't know. I'm starting to think keeping the belt on him wouldn't be a totally wrong.

There's two shows in Washington a fortnight before the PPV. I told my wife I think Swerve wins some kind of match or tourney or something else to get the #1 contender spot on those shows. If Swerve wins I'll be mad happy, but even if not I think we are in for a good ride.

Same; I'm a shameless Joe mark, but the way he just looked offended at Swerve thinking he could choke him out with the chain, then just pummeling Swerve bloody with his own chain, just made me want him to keep the title for the next three decades. Swerve's laugh and cracking voice after that was great, though. I don't think they can really go wrong at Dynasty; it could be Swerve's coronation, but if they want to extend this program I think they can do it and get to Double or Nothing without much trouble.

I always believe you strike while the iron is hot unless you have an actual long term plan in place. AEW shouldn’t overthink it. Fans want Swerve as champion. Make him the champion.

Not to make it a WWE v AEW thing but WWE held off on so many people that fans eventually moved on. AEW has been generally very good at giving people what they want, such as pivoting to title wins for the Acclaimed and Jamie Hayter when they got hot. It's Swerve's time.
