Well, that's a perfectly normal thing to do.

That picture of a young Jericho meeting Ricky Steamboat. Jericho looks like it’s the greatest day of his life (and possibly was), Steamboat looks like he couldn’t give the tiniest shite.

Eddie was a weird one though. I’ve read that he wasn’t into the idea of the ONS show as a whole, was in immense physical pain at the time, grew unhappy with the crowd as his match went on and wasn’t too overjoyed about losing clean to Benoit in the middle of his feud with Rey Mysterio. Though after the match you can see Eddie is annoyed with himself for putting on such a stinker and visibly tells Benoit “I owe you one”. Pretty sure Benoit intentionally broke Eddie’s nose with the Crossface at the end too because Benoit wanted to have a great match and Eddie just wasn’t trying at all. It'll sound weird, but I felt the gear some of them wore for the One Night Stand shows was indicative of how much effort they were putting into it. It was supposed to be a nostalgia show, and you had some wrestlers get into the spirit of it and dig out their old gear - Jericho and his Lionheart tights, for example - while others just showed up in their WWE stuff, and it made their appearances feel a bit half arsed and like they were going through the motions. Guerrero was one of them, it sounds mental but you could almost tell from the way he was attired that he couldn't really be bothered. But then Benoit wore his WWE gear too, which sort of ruins this whole hypothesis.

You mean Bulldog, right? Lady on the left: Sweet, Stone Cold! Austin: Must. Keep. Kayfabe. Lady on bottom: Who are these people? Young Punk: Must look tough. Huh? What's that happening at the back? Photo bombing Bulldog: Eggs. Butter. Bread. Milk. ehrm..?

The story I've heard is that Eddie purposely wanted to come off as not giving a shit, but he actually wanted to have a good match and between being such a good character worker and being physically broken down he ended up having one of the worst matches of his (post-sobriety) career.

What was the goal? To appear above an ECW reunion or? I understand we can’t know exactly what was going through his head but that’s such a bizarre thing to do.

Windham takes the cake but that’s a very “So glad I got that contract guaranteed” look on Mero’s face.

Eddie, to me at least, always came across as a guy thinking 10 moves ahead. I’m guessing in his mind there was an end goal that they sadly never reached.

Why the hell would the heel Eddie Guerrero of that period do an ECW reunion show unless he was absolutely forced to?

Being "Stone Cold" in public had to kinda suck because you could never be anything but pissed off. Like, you had to be angry eating an ice cream cone.

Was there a reason (besides being in TNA) that he looks like a drowned body here?
