this match was so good. my match of the night and i don't believe i've ever had that with bayley.
the rest of the matches on night two ruled but I thought this was one of the best women's matches i've ever seen and I thought it rocked so f***ing hard as someone who was cool with either winning.
what did you think of it?

Fun match, and I don’t think Iyo looked weak in defeat in the slightest. Yeah Bianca and the SuperSistas stomped Damage CTRL, but they were the villains and this was mainly a crowd-pleaser Mania.
Also I marked for Lucario Bayley.

This and Rhea/Becky were my favorite WM matches. Does anyone else find themselves enjoying the women's division a lot more than the men's these days? It's just more interesting to me and doesn't seem to be dominated by the same archetypes.

IYO came out of it looking great, and Bayley got her moment. Couldn’t ask for more than that.

I'm bummed that Bayley won, but I really f***ing hope that Iyo doesn't fall down the card after this. She proved beyond a shadow of a doubt why she should be on the same level as Bianca and Rhea when it comes to booking. But I am not optimistic. Move her to RAW, and have her beat Rhea for the title at Summerslam. Then you can run Bayley/Iyo as a rematch at Survivor Series, with Iyo getting her win back, ideally.
Because as it stands, Rhea's reign should be the next to end, and I don't think Liv is exactly the person to end it either.

Loved that match. Hated everything else about tonight but that match ripped. Not a fan of Bayley’s finish. That elbow drop looked good enough to end the match.

If you did not know , or damn forgot IYO f***ing reminded everyone SHE IS THAT BITCH! still the best womens wrestler in the world......and the scary thing is that was not even her best performance. If she slides down the card let alone never gets a title reign again HHH done lost his ever loving gawd damn mind. No slight against Bayley she was great but IYO stole the f***ing show and it was what I wanted from her knowing there was a big chance she was losing the title she needed to remind everyone that aint no other woman on this roster can f***ing touch her...her fellow Joshi's come the closest but IYO is on a whole level all her own. She makes it look EASY

It was a great match. The last few minutes were amazing. I think from when IYO started spamming moonsaults, and then she reversed Bayley's finisher. That was sick. Also, her sell of Bayley's finisher was great.
As much of a Bayley fan I am, I actually wanted IYO to retain but oh well.

I wouldn't be surprised if Iyo/Kota/Kairi/Asuka are Raw-bound in the draft to create some fresh match-ups, but I also don't see Iyo beating Rhea.
As for the match itself, Bayley's leg selling and all the chants gave it a refreshing NXT feel. Very good crowd-pleasing ending with Bayley finally getting the win. I thought her entrance was great, too.

There's nobody on this forum who thinks the same. {Spoiler}Us women's wrestling enjoyers hang out in the NXT threads.

I honestly don't see who beats Rhea then for the title. Because it sure as hell won't be Becky, and absolutely won't be Liv, whose "revenge tour" is colder than the polar ice caps. And I think Bianca, Jade, and Naomi are all remaining on Smackdown. And there's already a lot of fatigue setting in for Rhea's reign as its now the longest one running, and the majority of her title defenses have been largely underwhelming. Iyo absolutely deserves another title run, this time let her show out every time she can.

This was the match of the night, and therefore the match of both nights.
It was mostly due to IYO. I'm a fan of Bayley and she's solid, but IYO is a notch above most everyone. I hope they recognize IYO's talent and let her be the star she can be, but the pessimist in me says WWE will recognize her talent and use it exclusively to make other people look good.

You can already see it happening online. All of the social media buzz is acting like Bayley carried the match entirely on her own, and still acting like Iyo is mid. The only saving grace is that Dave seems like he's going to rate the match very highly.

given with how few title defenses the champions are doing now, it's very doable. You see the days Rhea (and IYO for that matter) are champ, then you see the number of title defenses and it's like 5.

That is my one worrie especially after tonight HHH is gonna use her to just make everyone else look better. BUT there is an asterisk to that...IYO's contract is up early next year so we will see what happens with her now untill then...if HHH doesn't understand her value after tonight then he is never gonna get it.

I honestly don't think they are going to do Bianca/Rhea at Mania. That would require one of them to win the Rumble again most likely. I feel like the Mania 41 plan will probably be Bianca/Jade for the title, which will probably be a shitshow of a match if Jade doesn't rapidly improve by then. There's also a Japan event coming up later this year according to Nattie, and I can't see Iyo being left off the card or not entering as a champion since she's the most popular Japanese wrestler they have right now, outside of maybe Kairi.

I'm not sure who ends the reign either, but I think it's going to keep going a while yet. I'd disagree on the fatigue, crowds love her and her three defenses this year (Ivy, Nia, Becky) were all strong (and quite different from each other) matches..
