Not that I’m saying I actually would have wanted to see it, but if ever there was a carny weirdo who seemed nlrn to be part of the guest host era or the LOLTNA era, it was that guy. Whether it be appearing on wrestling tv or a gimmick inspired by him.

My only guess is either he just never was thought of, or the 2007 race incident made him undesirable to both companies.
Dog's comments about his son's Black wife and interracial couples in late 07 had gotten him in a lot of hot water. A&E cancelled the show for a year and while he was back on the air by 2009, the event was still so recent that bringing him in would have been seen as a risk.
Sure you can say, "What about this or that?" but Dog wasn't exactly high profiled enough to get that sort of pass that others may have gotten.
He still is on the air but I don't think has the National acclaim and popularity he had held in the mid-2000s.

Why would he be relevant to wrestling Why would that be a criteria for being involved in wrestling? By that standard, almost no celebrity or athlete or personality ever be involved.

Didn't he wrestle in early 90s WCW under the name Diamond Dallas something?

TIL: WWE asked Dog The Bounty Hunter to appear on Mania 27 but he wanted too much money Not surprising, given it's an easy guest spot to pitch. Heel is slippery and keeps escaping Face's justice. Heel tries to walk out on a match, again, Kevin Owens-style. Dog the Bounty Hunter drags him back to the ring and chucks him in, and Face finally gets to mete out justice. Commentary probably makes some jokes about this being the end of the Heel's bail jumping or something. Jim Ross possibly makes it weird by getting too specific and saying the Heel has "lost his Luster".
