If there's a big PPV and I'm not able to watch it until the next day I just don't go online for 12-18 hours or whatever it is. If I know I'm not going to watch it for days though then I don't even attempt to avoid the spoilers because I don't have it in me to stay offline and avoid them for days on end.
Does anyone remember Teletext (different countries might have had similar)? I didn't get the internet at home until around 2002 so during my first couple wrestling watching years I'd get kinda PPV/TV spoilers from there. They didn't straight up tell you what happened though. There was a page advertising a hotline they'd want you to call. I didn't have the money to call or order PPVs and even Raw was on like a 4 day delay at the time so I'd always look at the little teases and try decipher what happened. I specifically remember after Survivor Series 2001 there was a headline like "WCW legend debuts on Raw the night after winner takes all clash" and I was hoping so badly for it to be Goldberg and watched on in disappointment a few days later when Flair came out as the co-GM lol.
