I was watching a video earlier. I had just remembered this. I have a question. Was this bit scripted? I read that the guy was an intern. Dave's reaction looked genuine, like maybe he was actually confused and not scripted to look confused.
I will say this, however. It was actually funny.

Yeah, it was part of a period when Raw didn't have a leader if I remember right and they were running it as being a bit chaotic (but quite half-assed). I think JBL declared martial law, if I remember right, but nothing really came of it.

Yeah, just a fun thing that went nowhere, like most fun ideas from 2006 to 2023.

I think JBL declared martial law, if I remember right, but nothing really came of it. Yeah, they did bits and pieces but it didn't go that far with stuff. Like, the period where Bischoff said he was going on Holiday for a month felt more chaotic in comparison, especially when Evolution right away attempted a power play to fill the void.

I am not sure why they would do something like this because it just encourages fans to do stupid things like run into the ring.

I was just surprised at how many thought it was legit unplanned as I recall the theme of the episode was chaos because Vince was injured and the inmates were running the asylum.

If it wasn't scripted, they would have immediately cut to another shot somewhere else.

Yeah, this was part of the "Raw is in anarchy!" situation at the time. If it was a legit situation, it wouldn't be uploaded to WWE's YouTube, and it would be treated like it never happened.
Batista's corpsing was pretty funny though.

Somehow this raw is anarchy feels less chaotic than the sloppy shop Adam Pearce runs on raw now

You're not thinking, man! Imagine the Tom & Jerry antics of this silly little guy running from Big Show Security Inc. for months.
