A show that not only ressurected a cult Hanna Barbera hero from the 60s but laid a path for Adult Swim to exist, arguably changing the face of adult aimed animation in the West forever.
Adult Swim have just started a live stream to celebrate so here you go.
If no Piledriver, I'll riot.

Space Ghost got a talkshow.
Birdman became an attorney.
I feel like Blue Falcon got shafted and left in the dust.

One of the first shows I remember watching after we first got cable. Liked it immediately. It’s legendary for sure in my eyes. Will have to go watch some episodes now.

I like how Zorak casually references Space ghosts sidekicks like it’s some untapped about secret and he tried to quickly change the subject since they had never appeared on the show up to that point

Really enjoyed the show, especially since my first experience with it was on the VHS copy of The Mask that I owned.
What was good about the show, was despite the fact that it was aimed towards a more adult audience, Cartoon Network was still a kid's channel, so they had to be clever on how they approached their content. Unfortunately I wish more 'adult' shows would take this approach instead of thinking that crude or foul means you're "adult".

The 'marathon' is only a handful of episodes, but they're all bangers. "Flipmode" in particular is included.
...Alas, the version of "Fire Ant" they're using is a short one that cuts out the whole build up

TIL Space Ghost Coast to Coast existed before early Adult Swim.

TIL Space Ghost Coast to Coast existed before early Adult Swim. It was Cartoon Network’s first full original show. Second original show if you want to count The Moxy Show, which was a compilation show but still had original animation so you can debate logistics with that.

I remember being in middle school and staying up late on Friday nights to watch Cartoon Planet and Coast to Coast. To say it helped to warp my adolescent sense of humor would be an understatement.
Now, why do sharks explode?

The rare incidence of an event like this making me feel younger.
Could've sworn I was older than 8 when I first saw this show.

I actually enjoyed that. I remember the guy dressed like Space Ghost at times.

Something I just remembered, the last time Fire Ant was shown in full?
The Adult Swim Festival 2020 stream for Space Ghost. Because I remember watching that and going “Oh my God, they’re showing the full 20+ minutes, the sickos”.
