Between that hype video for him and the segment with him looking displeased over the others attacking Jey and not joining in that's definitely what it feels like. Always kind of thought he was better as a face but I don't really know where's a place for him on that side for the foreseeable future between Cody, Jey, Sami, Seth, KO, Orton, and Punk.

on one hand i think it would be a good idea because people will want to cheer him, what with Rhea being gone and the sympathy they'll get (besides Dom but he'll always have that in a kurt angle "you suck" way probably) but the shows are dying for some big time heels right now. look at Cody, they're putting mid life crisis version of AJ Styles against him because there aren't that many viable heel world title contenders.
it'll depend on the draft and he would make a wonderful face but that side of the ball is pretty damn barren right now.

Either Damian or Finn will be out of The Judgement Day within 90 days.
I think it should be Finn because RAW should have a heel champ if the mega face is on SmackDown.

It definitely feels like it between that video package and him not wanting them to beat down Jey. I'm expecting Finn to eventually cost him the title out of jealousy.
If you list the top guys in the company they're mostly all faces (Cody, Seth, Jey, Punk, Sami, Orton, Knight) or heels who seem like they're on the verge of face turns (Roman, Priest). They needs more upper card heels. Gunther and Drew can't carry that whole side. Gable was a start but I still think they could do with another turn or two. Orton may be a good choice to go after Cody and it would be further down the line but I'm expecting Punk to end up heel too.

I'm kind of expecting Finn to bounce when his contract runs out. They're not really using him in a way that feels like they expect to keep him.

Two face world champions in one universe is going to be a weird feeling.
Maybe Cody and Damien can be our new age Cena and Batista from 2005?
Once is for the kids and women and a super hero.
The other is suit flexing cool bad ass face who will fight anyone when challenged.

The assumption is he is losing to Drew in Glasgow - where he will almost certainly be a heel, so if they are turning him I’d imagine it wouldn’t be till that’s done and dusted.

I could see them going a few different directions with Damian. One way would be him dropping the title at Clash At The Castle after Finn and the rest of JD turn on him. Another would be Damian holding on to the title for a few months and then Finn winning MITB which plays out for a few months before Finn finally pulls the trigger on him and assumes leadership of JD.
I think it probably does result in him turning face as a solid upper mid-card babyface and former world champion. He needs a strong, clean win over Jey to be that, and he could definitely use a clean win over Drew to really entrench himself, but I think the only way he's going over Drew is if McIntyre actually hasn't re-signed and still refuses to do so.

Sheamus is also a good candidate for a turn once the pop from his return wears off.
