Man, I thought it was stupid enough when they banned trans women from chess 🤦🏼♀️ ...please tell me that's a joke and that this didn't actually happen?? It is, unfortunately, not a joke.

f*** Oklahoma, don't run it again. AEW has honestly cowed to too much bigotry already in regards to Nyla, how downplayed she's felt, and how they try to keep her out of promotional material even when she's around because of how toxic the tweets get. They need to make a stand here with this.

Tony has money to burn, run shows, feature every trans wrestler possible and drag it through the courts.
Make the serious Athletic commission explain in court that they're the only people that don't realise wrestling is fake.

Let me try understand something about these State Athletic Commissions. (from UK, not a thing here)
In regards to wrestling they like provide doctors and medical staff to smaller wrestling shows, but certain criteria have to met. For example, No lightubes in Pennsylvania, which is why CZW did all there deathmatch shows in Delaware for a long time. But, you could just do the things that are banned anyway and just do the show, like GCW does in New York.
Isn't AEW big enough to just do whatever and tells these marks to f*** off?

I’d cross that state off AEW’s touring date if I was TK. That’s beyond f***ed up.

Once or twice and then they will shut the show down the day of and tell everyone it was because AEW didn't follow safety laws. That gets the general population who doesn't pay attention to anything behind them. Then they suspend or ban all licenses that AEW is responsible for including the wrestlers, which could then trigger suspension or revocation of licenses in other states.

Do they know wrestling isn’t real right?
State athletic commissions just feel such a 80s thing that wrestling still has to deal with because wrestling was once “real.”
Just say it’s a live performance and move on like WWF did in the early 90s

f*** Oklahoma and f*** all the bigots enacting these laws. Even if you think there’s an advantage for a trans woman competing against biological women (there isn’t) that still shouldn’t matter in a f***ing scripted activity. This is like saying any crimes committed in a show or movie need to be prosecuted by the actual police.
Bullshit. These companies need to put their money where their mouth is and stop doing business in places of hate.

If I were Khan, I'd pull any business or association I had in Oklahoma. They're garbage for this

It is, unfortunately, not a joke. ...what the actual f***?! Transphobic people, including transphobic feminists, think women are weak, pitiful creatures that are men's inferiors in basically every way. Archie Bunker had more faith in women than your average transphobe, "TERF" or otherwise.

What a joke, totally agree with those saying boycott Oklahoma. Hopefully TK comes out with a statement in full support of Nyla ASAP.

Yeah, flauting authority provokes these types into trying to throw their weight around to make an example, the more asinine, the better.

I think the more relevant thing is: the goal is to eliminate people from society by removing them from visible space. Any rationale is secondary to that goal.

I'm gonna be so heartbroken if AEW takes a "(shrug) well what are you gonna do" attitude with this, but with the state of things for trans folks I'm bracing for that now :/

I'd love to see their reasoning behind this and why it doesn't mean that pro wrestling should also have weight classes. Do they think Nyla has "unfair natural advantages"? Then why is it okay for a super heavyweight to wrestle a cruiserweight? Why are handicap matches okay? Excluding trans women is dumb in any circumstance but it's especially dumb in pro wrestling.

State athletic commissions just feel such a 80s thing that wrestling still has to deal with because wrestling was once “real.” Just say it’s a live performance and move on like WWF did in the early 90s This is where my confusion is but WWE still had to deal with the Maryland Athletic Commission as late as 2005 when they had the Barbed Wire Cage Match between JBL and Big Show changed from barbed wire wrapped around the cage to just the top because it couldn't be used in a match. My guess is Oklahoma, like Maryland still enforces their regulations regardless and if by law trans women cant compete, then its valid. Tony could just not run Oklahoma but thats not good for business either. I had Gender dysphoria and dealt with my so-called accepting friends rejecting me after I went through exploring it. Its unfortunate but part of the territory. As for the athletic aspect, I understand why its controversial as the hormonal aspect alone qualifies as a potential advantage and you have a lot of cis females that genetically don't have the same strengths as their trans counterparts being pushed down the sport. It's a tough debate and I personally hate it because I do understand it and don't look at as transphobic as much as a legit concern. The same with the bathroom/locker room debate. Now how its being taken care of? Its all poorly being handled across the board and no one has solutions. That's it for commenting but my take from someone who identified as a trans female for a period in my life due to my own gender issues.
