So assuming Swerve wins belt Sunday. Who's his first program with?
Hangman? But he's not really in position for title shot currently. Tried and tested Danielson? TK's go to guy for a new champ but zero chance he'll win so seems a waste. Maybe a returning Christian so as to get some good old fashioned heel heat and firmly cement Swerve as true babyface

Joe already beat him (tho he didn't pin or submit him), so I could see a rematch.
If not, I think Christian Cage would be a great challenger.

Christian seems like the obvious and best bet. An over heel who knows how to get young talent over while not coming off as too major of a threat to keep Swerve credible.
Also, DON is going to have Moné's debut, some sort of multiman clusterf*** like Anarchy in the Arena, and almost definitely an NJPW Title defense so they aren't going to need to have a super hot title program to sell the card

Nyla Rose, she's always the first challenger.

Christian would be great if Hangman's not coming back just yet

Samoa Joe rematch or Christian as some have suggested. Pre-built feud for Hangman whenever he’s back as well

Cage... wait for it! Brian. I do imagine there will be a rift between Swerve and the rest of Mogul Embassy whenever he becomes champion.

Kind of where my head is at if they intend on completing Swerve's face turn. I'm not saying Christian Cage v. Swerve won't be a money feud, but what if we get there because Christian gets upset that Brian is the first Cage to get a title shot. The rest of the feud writes itself.

Christian is a good call. If Keith Lee was healthy, I could get behind him being a heel challenger.

Christian would work.
Hangman really doesn't need to be facing Swerve until such time he beats him.

Christian would work. Hangman really doesn't need to be facing Swerve until such time he beats him. Yeah, as great as Hangman/Swerve was. Do we really need to go back to that straightaway. Plus Swerve will win and that will be 3 Swerve wins and a tie in the 4 matches past 6 months. I assume they have something interesting planned for Swerve/Hangman but I'm just not sure what. Hangman returning soon as Swerve wins only to lose to him again is't that interesting

I’d have Danielson beat Ospreay, and then Danielson challenges against Swerve at DON. Ospreay can get his win back later on against Danielson in order to get his own title shot at, presumably, All In.

As things stand now. Swerve vs Ospreay is potentially a huge match for AEW. Obviously don't go to it now but I can't see a bigger match in AEW at moment.

I think Joe gets the rematch, then maybe Christian tries to get the World Title from Swerve.
Maybe even a title defense against Hangman Page along the way before losing the title to Ospreay at Wembley.

I don't want Swerve vs Hangman yet but it would make a ton of sense. You know it has to be eating at him that Swerve won the belt despite his best efforts.

A Page match needs to happen but yeah keep them far away, have it be a huge centerpiece of the later ends of Swerve's feud instead of running that big story now. Have Hangman try to get at Swerve, fail to because he got in his own way, and then have him stuck out of thye title picture and developing his character further.
