What are some rematches to classic matches that arent as well-remembered as their first match? I'd argue Steve Austin vs Kurt Angle from Unforgiven 01. Nowhere near as memorable as the Summerslam 01 match (though at least Angle won the title in this one).

I think the first 'official' TLC match at Summerslam 2000 is overlooked as it's sandwiched by the two Wrestlemania matches the three teams had.
I guess it's not technically a WM rematch as Shawn wasn't involved and it's a Benoit match so it's never going to be mentioned or celebrated much for obvious reasons but HHH and Benoit had a mental Iron Man match on Raw to put a bow on their February-June 2004 feud which had Eugene taking out all of the members of Evolution and Uncle Eric on his own. Despite how distasteful and career-limiting his character was, Dimsmore got a massive push that summer.

Hardly anyone talks about the Andre versus Hogan rematch at Wrestlemania IV (double-countout during the tournament)

The Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle rematches don't get talked about that often. I actually really like the Vengeance match. They also had a 30 minute Iron Man Match on Raw but it has a lame draw finish so that one is more forgotten.

Is there really any Undertaker/Kane match that gets talked about besides the Mania matches?(and 20 only gets talked about because of the entrance and return of deadman)

Rock v. Mankind Half Time Heat is basically just lost to time. No one talks about it, it’s, as far as I know, not available anywhere.

Anyway, I wonder if free TV matches should apply. Anyone who was watching in 2005 should remember Shawn Michaels vs. Shelton Benjamin. I remember first watching it on MySpace (they had videos on there), and it is known enough that it made it to DVD sets. However, no one seems to remember their match on Raw in January of 2006, which was also good.

Hardly anyone talks about the Andre versus Hogan rematch at Wrestlemania IV (double-countout during the tournament) With good reason. It stunk the building out. It was a double DQ for some stupid reason.

I think Angle/Brock at Summerslam 2003 is a better match than their Wrestlemania 19 main event, which I never really got into. The Summerslam one is barely talked about though.
Actually I feel the same way about Angle the next year too. His match with Eddie at Mania I thought was just fine and didn't really live up to the hype. I enjoyed their Summerslam match more but the Mania one is the one that is remembered.
