Let's name some.
I think the record holder for this would be Barry Horowitz, who did the "jobber finally starts winning" gimmick in Florida, Global, and the WWF.

No one remembers it…but that big angle where Jericho accidentally punched HBK’s wife? TNA did the exact same thing with Bobby Roode and Booker T months earlier.

Hebner doing the Montreal angle in TNA. Absolute junk.
There’s just some things I don’t understand how they get out of the booking room.
“Y’all wanna do Montreal? In 2010? Here in the Impact Zone? In front of the same people who have seen 40 matches today with lots of the same people?”
“F**k it I guess. They didn’t pop for Orlando Jordan rubbing lotion on himself or Daniels jobbing to Val Venis so we gotta try something.”

No matter how high on the totem pole Randy Savage gets, Hulk Hogan will beat him.

IIRC, Flair and Savage are the only two wrestlers who have beaten each other for both the WWF and WCW title.

How about The Authority and Daniel Bryan. Just months later TNA did a reenactment of the same angle. Heel Authority group. Hand pick champion in Mangus much like Orton was. Underdog face with a beard with Eric Young. Young must win a match to get title match on the same night. Young get "hurt" but over comes the odds and wins the title.

The first "Hostile Takeover" storyline was not the NWO . It happened at World Class Wrestling in 1989. Skandor Akbar somehow bought majority stock in the company. Eric Embry defeated P Y Chu-Hi in the final battle, and World Class became USWA .

For Savage and Flair in both 1992 WWF and 1996 WCW, their feud had Elizabeth in the middle (the “she was mine before she was yours” aspect in WWF, and Elizabeth outright turning on Savage in WCW).

I think almost every company has done a Montreal Screw Job reference at this point... The first "Hostile Takeover" storyline was not the NWO . It happened at World Class Wrestling in 1989. Skandor Akbar somehow bought majority stock in the company. Eric Embry defeated P Y Chu-Hi in the final battle, and World Class became USWA . I believe Bischoff himself credits a Japanese Takeover angle for the NWO.
