Hello everyone.
I came back to wrestling in January. I started with youtube videos. I've now watched 2 full smackdown and raw in a role. There is some things that extremely bug me.
-The main champions don't see the most tv time. Roman showed up like 5 times this year, didn't wrestle on tv and had very little segments. Cody and Priests haven't wrestled and both had less segments than Rhea and Solo. This is extremely odd to me. When did this trend start? When Triple H and Lesnar were on top they were everywhere.
-Multiple long commercials during matches. I feel like I missed more than half of that event between Bayley and usos girlfriend. Match had started like at 9:45. 2 commercials and interference. Not just commercials but the same one telling me that nickelodeon had pedophiles working there. wth? I can't imagine watching wwe in 2003 and a commercial telling me that pedos worked at disney.
-Wrestlers come down to the ring and stand around for minutes for a "You deserve it chant." This would be ok if it was just faces but even heels stand around for minutes on end. One thing I loved about the ruthless aggression era was these lame time wasting chants weren't a thing.
For reference I am 30. I watched WWE full time from 02- late 2007. If I'm miss remembering please call me out. I just don't remember Cena, Triple H, Batista, Undertaker, Shawn not wrestling, fishing for chants, and being sidelined for Mid card wrestlers like Eddie(sami), Christian, and paul london.

In what world was Eddie a midcard wrestler lol. In 04 and 05 he was a Main Event guy on Smackdown

The frequency and length of commercial breaks is completely out of WWE's control. That's all on the network.

The frequency and length of commercial breaks is completely out of WWE's control. That's all on the network. It is still absolutely horrendous. I've been watching for a couple of weeks and I cannot get I to any match because of the breaks. |

In what world was Eddie a midcard wrestler lol. In 04 and 05 he was a Main Event guy on Smackdown And Rhea WAS a world champion and her reign went from Wrestlemania to after the next Wrestlemania. And is the second most over act in the company at worst. But we're talking about the good ol' days where HHH took up half the show. |

Nothing is worse than commercial breaks during a battle royal. I expect at least one during the middle of the women's championship battle royal this Monday.

It sucks, but outside of a lot of short 1 segment matches or garbage like the 2 out of 3 falls experiment, there's not a whole lot WWE can do about it. Not like they're alone either. AEW and TNA have their fair share of longer TV matches with one or even two ad breaks interrupting them. |

I had a hard time getting into the matches and remembering who people are because of the frequent cuts. I guess I will make more people on here "cringe" because I honestly don't know anyone in the Latino world order besides carlito, and rey. |

Roman (at least in the last year of reign), Iyo and Rhea barely defended their titles. They ran out of ideas for Roman and had him hold it until he could lose it at WM. The women's booking is just bad. Gunther defended his title quite a bit, though that was the IC title.

Hulk Hogan fought Cowboy Bob Orton on Superstars one year for a special Veteran's Day match. It was so unusual for Hogan to work on a syndicated show that they replayed the entire match the next week, replayed it again on their end-of-the-year wrap up show, and had a four page article about it in WWF magazine.
The champion wrestling all the time started during the Monday Night Wars era. You're totally right about all the damn commercials, though.

Yeah but if you’re new to wrestling, how’s is “usos girlfriend” how you know her? They’re married for one. And you watched a whole match where she was identified compared to how many ever times someone has identified her as “usos girlfriend.” Just… strange. |
