My only questions is if it is better than The Greatest Wrestling Match of All Time was?

ngl I've spent the whole night trying to come up with a match I liked better and failed.

I thought it was great. If it had been a title match or something with more stakes then I think I’d have been more emotionally invested in the outcome, which may have raised it even higher. For that reason I don’t think it’s the best match I’ve ever seen or anything like that.
Technically speaking it was certainly perfect, though. No one is better than Bryan Danielson.

Was Danielson really hurt at the end or was he selling? If he was selling that was damn good work. To paraphrase Dusty Rhodes, he's a worker. He'll work you, work me, work, work, work.

Just to think this wouldn't have been half as good without the mentorship of The Miz.

It was incredible but I hated the finish. Not just the fake injury angle (not squeamish about Bryan taking bumps, just thought it was stupid) but it feels like every Ospreay match in aew so far has ended with some sort of corny standoff. I’ve softened up to Ospreay a lot but there’s still some things he does that dampens my opinion of him in ring. But again, it was an incredible match.

Technically speaking it was certainly perfect, though. No one is better than Bryan Danielson. This for me. Whether you thought it was the greatest match of all time or not or whatever is all subjective. But one thing not subjective was the technical profiency shown by the 2 guys. I don't think I've seen a match where a 2 guys did a bunch of moves all executed so well. The only somewhat not perfectly executed spot was the Oz Cutter on the appron and even then that's proper nit picking

It lived up to the hype and then some. I feel like we're getting close to the BCC vs United Empire and a violent Danielson vs Ospreay match.

Does AEW ever offer their ppv replays at a discount or anything? Would love to watch the match but not for the full $50 (I think it's $50?)

I thought it was excellent. I don't know if I really liked the ending, though. Same. I get it was an angle but I’ve seen Bryan do this before and I wish he would stop. But yeah incredible match. Crowd was hot before it got started which is always a good sign.

It was pretty much the perfect modern day match, i grew up on 8os and 90s wrestling so this isn't my favourite style or my favourite match ever but it was excellent. The crowd got what they wanted and expected, they made the match better by how into it they were, it felt special, that big time feel.
Match of the night easily and i felt sorry for the last two matches, were never going to top that.

I thought it was excellent. I don't know if I really liked the ending, though. Yeah it was a little disappointed the ending was essentially to build to a blood and guts match, did Will know Danielson was injured in the same way did he know his stable would soften him up? That though hinges on questionable logic, is he doing anything wrong if he knew? Unless the ref stops it he has to try and win. Especially as Danielson says he sets out to hurt people. More importantly once I clocked that was the intention it sort of broke the suspension of disbelief. Without Danielson overselling it's a definitive end. Not that there's any wrong with it, that's logical storytelling to continue things, especially with a iwgp title match beimg the next chapter of the story on dynamite. It's still a classic, it's just the different between 5* and 8.5* goat.

I can't believe I've seen articles online and youtube videos about 'Danielson's injury scare'.
I expect to see 'non-AEW employee Jack Perry jumped barricade' articles next

It got about halfway through and I thought, 'this is really good, but not great' and then my God they kicked it up a gear. Then just when I was losing my mind, they found overdrive.
I'm fully sold on the fact that we might be watching the ascent of the Greatest in ring competitor of all time in real time. Danielson is having the best retirement run ever too, both of them are just on another level to the rest of the industry right now.
