I was watching this YouTube video about the spike tv iceberg and they mentioned that the new TNN lasted 3 years and ended in 2003. That sounds wild to me. I feel like it was really shorter. I remember when ECW was on TNN and I think that’s when it was the national network. I remember wwe going to TNN and i could swear it was only a couple months before turning into spike. If it was 2003, that means it was only on Spike for two years. There’s so much random WWE spike crossover, I can’t believe it was only a 2 year span of Joe Schmoe, those weird ass cartoons, UFC, MXC.
Tmnt going for almost 10 seasons on cbs is crazy. The original cast of power rangers only being one season is nuts considering how iconic the original 6 were

Power Rangers in general. Just....that. Still going on, albeit with new series and lineups, yet hard to believe it has done so since 1993.
As for longer when shorter, Gilligan's Island and The Honeymooners' runs felt like that.

Baywatch lasting until 2001 and 11 seasons, few years after it's pop culture peak

CCR. Every song you know is from 1969 - 1972.
They knocked out 14 straight top ten hits in that period and several albums.

Mr. Bean only ran for 15 episodes.
With how popular it is, I would have thought it ran for several seasons.

Even by British TV standards, it was an oddly-produced show in that it didn't even have seasons. It was less a traditional TV series and more a collection of one-off specials, with some episodes released two or three months apart followed by a break of 10-12 months.

The original Powerpuff Girls only actually has 78 distinct episodes, which is kind of wild for having run for 7 years, having the popularity then and now that it does, and just how badly it managed to drop in quality in the last couple of seasons.

Feels like in the States the Spice Girls were huge for 5 years. Nope maybe 2 tops.

It feels like the Beatles evolved over many years while putting out a diverse catalog. Nope, about 7 years total.

By game show standards, the original Press Your Luck only being 3 years, when arguably most of its pop culture legacy came from being rerun on USA for close to a decade afterwards.

Me I was a fan of them so had my deck box covered with SG stickers. Had a few people ask if I was just messing with people. Thinking there was no way I would be Spice Girls fan. Feels like fidget spinners appeared peaked and died in like a 6 month time frame.

It’s ludicrous to think that there are only three years separating cute, moptop oooohing Sullivan Show Beatles from Sgt. Pepper. And yet the progression completely makes sense, but that short gap of time would be a decade or more today.

I always find it interesting that the high release rate at the time means you got in between albums rather than big jumps. At a modern release rate you would get Please Please Me, Help, Pepper and Abbey Road and that's it

The entirety of Tupac Shakur's legacy happened in six years. Digital Underground, the solo breakout, the Thug Life rebrand, going to prison, signing with Death Row, his acting career, his untimely demise, all happened from 1990 to 1996.
There are modern artists who have albums in production longer than that.

The original Masters of the Universe franchise only lasted from 1982-1987, yet He-Man is still seen as an 80s icon.
