Everyone is after my own heart with these threads today. Between this and the Sunday Morning (SunAM?) cartoons. Again, buckle in... ABC would normally have the classic cartoons, mainly King Leonardo and Dudley Do-Right. (Anything close to Bullwinkle but not Bullwinkle, basically) The Adventures of the Little Prince, the 80s anime, was there too, as was Kids Incorporated. And yes, everyone's favorite...Davey and Goliath. Bullwinkle proper I believe was on one of the local stations, which became a Fox one. MAYBE the Avengers (UK) was part of early SatAM fare on ABC? By the time I was watching Sonic SatAM, they were always preceded by Jack Hanna, I believe. CBS for the longest time still ran The Patchwork Family, a 70s live action show. For a time NBC had the Cleveland live action/puppet show Hickory Hideout...which a young Kathryn Hahn starred in. The Kidsongs TV Show. Think (W)NBC carried that in the wee Saturday hours. Yes I am even going to include the Spanish channels. What would be/became our Univision station had this show "Follow Me" that I was obsessed with. It was an English language tutorial by BBC, with small vignettes in Spanish explaining the lessons. You can probably see the original shows on YouTube. Random channels: Christopher Closeup, a religious talk show. Memorable in the 80s for having a sign language interpreter in the corner of the entire episode. Now, on the other end, if I may, how about the shows that let you know SatAM was over? ABC Weekend Specials and American Bandstand are the patron saints of these tropes, with WWF Superstars and GLOW right behind them. Maybe CBS Storybreak fell under this spot too? Post Saturday morning block memories: Harry and the Hendersons, Captain Planet, mega man, sweet valley high, wmac masters, wwf superstars. The other channel had Had soul train, which I thought was weird for Saturday morning at 11 am for a bunch of funky dancing but you get used to it, so it’s weird whenever they’d have a prime time special Woah, your post just gave me a huge blast of nostalgia.
I remember back in the mid 90s, after KidsWB Saturday Morning Block, syndicated cartoons would play after it so we had cartoons/kids shows from 7:00am to 3 or 4pm.
There was Adventures of Sonic the Hedghhog, An Oliver Twist cartoon but the characters were talking animals, Street Sharks, Mega Man, WMAC Masters, and a bunch of others I can't remember right now.

The Kidder one/anime was on HBO in the late '80s or more likely early '90s. Are you thinking of the DIC series based on the MGM movie by any chance? (EDIT: Yep.) All I remember is the intro and it didn’t last long. And that it was not part of one of the bigger blocks like one Saturday morning, kids WB, or Fox kids. Was before their time.

It probably wouldn't happen as the show didn't seem to be offered to ABC O&O's, but imagine if before/after the ABC block proper from 1993-1995, Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog WAS part of a pre-SatAM or post-SatAM block of cartoons? An Oliver Twist cartoon with animals? Now I wish we got an Oliver and Company: The Series on The Disney Afternoon. I'm probably the only one.

This thread hit at the right time. Was going thru some boxes and found my DVD-rs of MCW's short lived TV show.
Which aired at 6am Saturday mornings on FOX 40 out of Jackson. This is the main event of episode one which had an airdate of Feb 5th 2011.
Working on getting all four episodes ripped and uploaded to youtube. But learned none of the guys in this match even saw an episode.
Yeaa I just aimed a camera at my TV playing the DVD.Better quality copies coming soon.

I also remember catching New Adventures of Winnie The Pooh on Occasion along with Gamepro TV with JD Roth wwith was essentially an informercial. Sunday Mornings were either Looney Tunes on Nickelodeon or CBS Sunday Mornings with the family

I remember a time when youngling me turned to Fox at 7:30AM to catch the Mega Man animated series for the first time because being a huge fan of video game series the animated series has to be just as good if not better right?
Things were off to a good start when they actually aired a content disclaimer warning before the show started and animation for the opening credits was pretty slick (theme song was repetitive, but everything else was clicking) and then the episode actually started and sadly they could not keep up that momentum. As an adaptation it wasn't too horrible just kind of generic and silly at times.

Oh yeah, a new one came to mind, Hanna Barbera's World of Super Adventure:
This is how I was aware of the original versions of Birdman, Space Ghost, Mightor, etc before they became comedy characters (sadly, I never got to see the episodes where they showed the Fantastic Four cartoon, I guess I missed the weeks that one was shown)

The Hanna Barbera Fantastic Four used to air on Sunday mornings for me, and they would extend the run of the show by cutting the episodes down to about five minute short segments so they were more serialized and had cliffhangers.
