Howard Wolowitz went from being an absolute creep, to the point where I'm not sure the show could have continued much longer had they not brought in Bernadette, to being a really great husband and father by series end.

Do you think that this is why Josh as the series went on starts to seem dumber? Because Rebecca no longer sees him as an ideal? Yep. Since How I Met Your Mother I have become a big fan of the idea of the unreliable narrator. For example the apartment in that show was huge. But it was actually much smaller and only seemed huge for NY. So first season Valencia as a shallow bitch and Josh a dream guy because they were Rebeccas rival and love interest. Once the situation changed we saw more depth from them, or even less depth in Joshs case as the image was shattered and he may seem even worse than normal because of that. So Valencia and Beth was Rebecca's shipping, as in, her way of seeing her as not a threat?

And Josh was never as good, or as dumb as portrayed. We just see them as colored by Rebeccas feelings for them.

At the start Eric is the cool big brother, then as Cory grows up he sees him more as the idiot he is. His sister disappears for a whole because he just wasn't paying attention to her. When friends or teachers aren't directly interacting with him anymore, they vanish too.

The "characters change because it's all in Rebecca's mind" theory was passed around a bit though, I will have to see if it comes to pass, and how much? * - I put it off in 2020. For obvious reasons. Being reminded of Adam Schlesinger's fate didn't help.

I hated Christian for close to ten years. I hated his attitude. I thought the Unprettier was a terrible finisher with a stupid name. I would literally fast forward over his matches because I disliked him so much.
And then one day I actually started watching him wrestle. Headliner? Mid-carder? It didn’t matter. The guy worked his ass off to make his opponent look good. And that meant every single match was entertaining. I have enjoyed him ever since.

Jin in Lost went in the audience’s mind from an aloof, violent and possibly abusive husband and an unfriendly guy in general who was probably racist into one of the most wholesome and heroic characters of the show and he never really “turned face” as he was a good guy the whole time. The show (back when it was good) cleverly used the language barrier, different POVs in the Korean flashbacks and dare I say it, the audiences own prejudices to fool people into thinking he was a twat.

Throughout season one of Legend of Korra I really found Asami a weak point of the show, just for her to be elevated to one of my favorites in season 2 pretty much because she was the only main character the show had in that season who wasn't a total asshole. Then seasons 3 and 4 made her an actual, like, character.

Great one. They even had him admit that he was disgusted by the guy he used to be

When friends or teachers aren't directly interacting with him anymore, they vanish too. Exactly. They showed this with Minkus. Disappeared after middle school, never mentioned again until the last ep of high school. He had been on the other side of the school, with the teacher that disappeared. So Minkus was taking advanced placement, or STEM classes and they never mentioned him because he wasnt part of Corys life anymore, not being in his social circle or classes. Main character syndrome but you really are the main character. B

You're gonna look at me funny, but....Ana Lucia in her brief time was this to me. I don't know why but I started to like her before...you know...
