Well I feel like we all assumed that Gunther was gonna take it from him at Bash at Berlin, but now that he’s on Raw, I don’t think that’s the case anymore. I guess he can still win MITB and do it or maybe they are waiting till Mania next year to have him vs Cody. Regardless I think someone from Smackdown should beat Cody this year, even if it’s a brief run. I think it’s time to strap KO up. Have him turn heel and have a hotshot reign before losing it back to him

Cody holds it straight to Wrestlemania to face the winner of the Royal Rumble.
Who will jump ship to Smackdown afterwards and challenge Cody at Wrestlemania.
Probably CM Punk, if The Rock isn't available.

They already set up him vs. Rock, title vs. "title" so no one is taking it from him for a good long while.
I guess he can lose it for a week or two before getting it back. Maybe to Solo so they can get Roman returning and costing Solo the title. Get Cody and the OG Bloodline vs. Solo's version in War Games.

No chance anyone is beating Cody until he faces Rock, and I don’t think it makes sense to have Rock lose to Cody too and then expect to headline WM next year with Rock/Reigns. So basically, I think Rock beats Cody for the belt .

I wouldn't mind a Christian/Orton type thing only this time with Randy in the heel/bitter veteran role.
Cody v Randy in a respectful former mentor v pupil thing with Cody winning. Orton snaps, turns heel and maybe hits the punt for the first time in years to take out Cody for a few weeks. Orton wins the title in some heelish fashion. Build to a final match with Cody regaining the title and winning the feud.
Technically you could still do the feud without swapping the title but I'm hoping for more 3-5 month title reigns and not as many 6-12+ month ones. Cody holding until the summer, dropping it then regaining a couple months later in time to face Rock at either Rumble/Mania would be my preference.

Cody's always spoken highly of him, in-ring they have great chemistry and it pretty much ensures we can get unhinged heel Owens getting heel reactions against Cody being the face who has to do everything it takes to win.

I don’t care how it happens, KO needs to win the wwe championship at some point in his career. Hes been killing it every time he’s in the main event scene and former wwe champion is much more legitimate than former Universal champion. Idc if Cody wins it back the next smackdown |
