Magnitude would be pulling double that easily.

Eh, the ratings are up from last week both overall and in the demo despite tough competition. Add a little Butcher and everything will be just fine in AEW.

2.8 million people watching Celtics/Heat is more surprising to me. The whole series has sucked and everyone knew it would, but that being said, its lead-in for Collision gave Collision 1.3 Million starting viewers... so yeah lol

TK just hire Russo at this point. Very normal first ever post on this Board, I'm sure this will be a very normal thread again lmfao Odds that the next one is an unhinged diatribe about the merits of flat earth or something?

Advertisers are happy, that's all that matters. AEW just needs to concentrate on attendance and merch and all will be peachy.

"I THOUGHT THE ATTACK WOULD POP A BIGGER RATING THOUGH" They're third and sixth on Cable, they're still going up against Playoffs in two different sports which are the only things ahead of them, and they're still delivering despite that I mean people can worry all they want, every single Warner response is "We're loving this " and until it isn't, nothing's going to happen to the show and they're just gonna keep carrying on with their product and putting on what has been a very solid show lately. I'm not worrying, as I previously have said I'm intrigued by the angle and I'm enjoying it so far. Nor am I yelling in all caps, I was just surprised as I expected a bump. If anything in all of that "worries" me it's that so many people don't seem to care about Edge.

NHL and NBA Playoffs are a thing and they're going to affect ratings for both WWE (NXT got hammered by them on Tuesday for instance) and AEW for the next couple of months. Just how it is.
Though as seen with Collision's great numbers the past couple of weeks, they can also be a pretty big boost as a lead-in, too. Dynamite just doesn't have that same luxury.

What I take from this is that the NBA isn’t a draw at all anymore on TV…even though I know it’s huge for in person attendance and on social media
It’s a bad TV product, besides Inside the NBA, but the league has so much drama that it’ll never die.

Doesn't make a difference either way with me but it's always been like that with him.

Jericho vs Shibata was the peak demo lol
Jericho has always been a draw for AEW, even if a lot of us are tired of him

It's a huge draw on TV, the games have just been ass, and it's the opening rounds Women's College Hoops, and potentially the upcoming WNBA season, might overtake them for awhile if Caitlyn Clark lives up to this hype. It's why ESPN has like all but two of the Fever's games for themselves lmfao

Advertisers are happy, that's all that matters. AEW just needs to concentrate on attendance and merch and all will be peachy. The average ratings are 20% lower than in 2023 and 35% lower than in 2022. I don't think that makes them very happy. It's worrying that 700,000 viewers is the new normality.

Between cable viewing drops, losing Punk (RIGHTFULLY fired, but still that's a draw lost), losing Sting, and I think the biggest factor - WWE getting hot again Even if the AEW booking gets really hot, I don't think it is climbing much higher.

Yeah honestly AEW is putting on great shows and getting respectable ratings right now all things considered but I don't see them making some huge leap back unless WWE shoots itself in the foot somehow. I've always said if there was ever a serious ratings war between the companies it won't be because AEW gets hot, it'll be because WWE massively f***s up in some way and loses a huge chunk of its audience.

Saw someone on Twitter say 703 is what happens when you let the rating killer Bucks run the show..while neglecting its up from last week. I’m literally finished with this discussion now. Still say Edge Vs Buddy was way too f***ing long and it’s gonna hurt next week
