I remember back in a 1993 edition of the WWE magazine, a fan suggested having Wrestlemania in their home country (I think it was Germany.) He said something along the lines of: “Fans would come all over to see Wrestlemania.” He may have meant to say his home country fans and not fans worldwide.

Phenomenal crowd all night. Then randomly singing their national anthem was odd, but they were truly fantastic.

It would be cool if they made it a tradition to always have Backlash outside the continental United States.

Anybody know what the arena situation in Samoa looks like? Could the WWE just straight up do a PLE there? Samoa might have a rugby pitch big enough but I’m honestly not even sure about that and they don’t really have the disposable income like the bigger countries do. It would be cool but I don’t see it happening.

Next one should be in Hawaii! I’m really surprised WWE hasn’t explored there yet.

I hate that chant too though.

I'll be honest, these fillery breakish PPVs need to be done in special places now
The crowds will be into them no matter what, you can do fun shit with it, they WANT them to go there
I think we will see more "B PPVs" get gassed up with International dates like this way more often, and it'll be for the betterment of them and the energy around them.

Nick Khan straight up said a week or two ago that the plan going forward is to do the big 5 PPV’s in North America and the rest internationally. They’re absolutely on a push to grow their global footprint right now

Frankly that it is the genius in running these B-PPV’s overseas. Really nothing that significant happens during them.
But the setting and the crowd atmosphere makes them feel far bigger than they actually are.

It helps when Pro Wrestling doesn't seem to get that much tv time in Europe (not including American Wrestling or Japanese wrestling) if any so it makes them more excited lol.

I'm putting my hopes in it'll be ready for Pearl Jam though Have to find a pretty big Lidl. Have the Co Op app on my phone and was working there during the pandemic so have been offered pre sales for all their shows. Was interested in Slipknot tickets there but they were so expensive. Plus travel to Manchester of course. Slipknot aren’t there til December though so you would think the place would be ready by then. Absolute shambles of an operation. And thousands of potential future ticket goers lost. WWE should avoid the place as well.

It definitely is a shambles. Thankfully I haven't booked anything. I'll stick to the AO where I can until they sort out the venue. I gave slipknot a miss this time, saw them in 2020 and Download last year so I'm good.

I’ll take it a step further and say no more shows in America again period. Not until they can prove that they can measure up. I’m kidding but only kinda. I would love to see a major WWE event in an African nation one day. The Soft Ground videos show that there's a ton of enthusiastic wrestling fandom there (at least in Uganda). I think it'll be cool to see Kofi wrestle a supercard-level match on the African continent before he retires, it would be absolutely deserving for his career.

Nigeria would honestly be pretty cool. I don't know what things are like there, but they have the stadium. Lagos 100% has the infrastructure and population for something like a PLE. Number of people willing to travel internationally would be iffy though.

Backlash Japan would be incrdible.
They were CLAPPING to Shawn's music in 2005.
That enough gives them a show!
