With Backlash France over, if you compare the two shows.
Which crowd did you enjoy and like better?

Feel like France did a better job of keeping up the momentum the whole show but Puerto Rico was hotter during Bad Bunny vs. Priest. Either way both crowds were fantastic.

France didn't know the line between exciting and obnoxious, so Puerto Rico wins by default.

Puerto Rico were super hot for 3 of the 7 matches last year. France was super hot for 5 of the 5 matches tonight.
In terms of an individual match though Priest v Bad Bunny probably wins out. Although tonight came close with the main event. The crowd singing Cody's lyrics after the music stopped playing was a great moment.

Puerto Rico wins by the peak of Bad Bunny/Priest but I think tonight was the best crowd WWE has ever had. They were great.

Puerto Rico by an ocean mile.
That was noted by everyone how special that crowd was....this crowd was great but Puerto Rico hit levels that this crowd and show just did not.

But that is also another thing that crowd has over this one is that Puerto Rico right from the first match set the tone that they were gonna cheer who the hell they wanted and so it made for this ...I wonder if so and so will be booed instead unpredictable feeling apart from the god tier pop for Bad Bunny.

The French crowd was hot the entire night, so they get my vote.

I was digging the France crowd until about the 30th "Simplement Deux! Simplement deux *clap clap clap clap* Simplement deux. Given the 50th kickout was in the 3rd match I wore out on pretty early. It was great fun on Smackdown but too much here. Still mostly positive about them, but they wore out their welcome some.

It was great fun on Smackdown but too much here. Still mostly positive about them, but they wore out their welcome some. 100% agreed on this. By the main event I was like "not every single 2 count needs this song sung, and OH LOOK ANOTHER TWO COUNT SO YOU CAN START ALL OVER AGAIN!" I enjoyed the crowd, and they had mad energy all night from bell to bell, but it straddled that line between enjoying the show, and trying to BE the whole show. Let the wrestler's entertain you. You got a fantastic main event. Not every. single. move. AJ Styles does needs that song for him sung. Oh wait he did like 300 moves, so we got to hear it 300 times. In addition to the 2 count song all night long. But to be fair the Jey Uso entrance, and their singing of Cody's song were great, and they were clearly excited as hell (better than a dead crowd for sure) but Puerto Rico wins this one.

Do people also dislike crowds singing the 'Hey Bayley' song all throughout her matches? Or the chants of "Let's go Cena" we had for years? I don't see why the French fans singing the song towards AJ Styles was so bad. It's perfectly normal for crowds to sing songs in support.

Puerto Rico gave Savio Vega a 1999 Stone Cold level Stone Cold pop, for that alone they win.

Puerto Rico by a million miles. France eventually got annoying to the point where I was missing the Thunderdome. You got to have ups and downs to make the ups special. France was just constant wall of noise, only stopping briefly when Kabuki Warriors came out. Puerto Rico also got a way more fun show so maybe that is clouding my judgement?
Puerto Rico 2023 is the best crowd of all time.

I don't see why the French fans singing the song towards AJ Styles was so bad. It's perfectly normal for crowds to sing songs in support. I think it was the frequency. The Bayley thing is usually only a couple of times a match. With AJ it seemed like anytime he got any offence in they started singing it. I think also if it had been the opener where people were still fresh with the crowd they might have enjoyed it more. That said, the song very much felt like it was taking the piss with AJ whereas the Hey Bayley thing is more of a lets have fun cheering the face in a unique way. That's how I'm seeing it anyway. I didn't mind the song the first couple of times, but like simplement deux, it wore out its welcome. I think that was the main issue. I enjoyed the crowd to a point, but they drove everything into the ground eventually it felt like. It got to the point where rather than making things much better like they had on Smackdown, they were starting to actually distract from the show.

Puerto Rico gave Savio Vega a 1999 Stone Cold level Stone Cold pop, for that alone they win. So glad he got one last big pop in his career. The guy helped Stone Cold become Stone Cold in 1996, so he needs more love. First guy to truly show him the ropes in 1996 in WWF.
