Boy "Local Men Ruining Everything" would have hit its absolute peak if we had to sit through that...

I guess the plan was to put the crowd to sleep with Big Show vs Kane so they wouldn't shit all over Bryan/Sheamus and the main event

I love Big Show and Kane. I'll always have a soft spot for them in spite of their horrible bookinh because they are 2 guys who got me into wrestling. In saying that - those 2 guys never had a single match together that was anything remoting resembling good. Didn't matter how young or old or varying amount of hair and weight between them their matches always sucked.
Between that match, Bryan getting shafted to the mid card, Punk probably losing all motivation against Triple H, the Streak ending and THAT main event this would've been a hell of Mania to watch in real time.
That show would've damn near killed the company in 2014.

Hopefully in this universe Vince realizes what he had and let's Bray go over Cena instead of y'know ruining him. Wyatt beating Cena at Wrestlemania but losing the feud by dropping 2 Ls at future PPVs, because LOL Cena wins, would have helped everybody. It shouldn't have taken a dub over Cena at Wrestlemania 36 on top of a gimmick change to revitalize Wyatt's career. It took 6 years to get the result that would have been best for all parties from the start. Mhmm, I agree. In this universe Wyatt wins the WM match, doesn't have to face John "you beat me once but you haven't beaten me 75 times so it doesn't count" Cena, and is a made man off of taking out the top guy, and is the new big bad in the WWE because Vince sees Bray's value and unique appeal.

Can you imagine the crowd if we got Kane vs Big Show and it went over 5 minutes, let alone 10. Somebody in that crowd would have risked it all.

I always thought Rollins being the one to break up the Shield after a couple of months of Reigns and Ambrose getting frustrated with each other was clever misdirection and it turns out it was all part of one of those Punk butterfly effects which he's still causing today. Rollins's career looks very different if he doesn't break up the Shield and join the Authority. 100% I think a lot of people were concerned during this time since WWE has an awful track record of breaking up teams and letting one or more members fall by the wayside. By the way they were presented, Seth seemed like he was the most overlooked, so it made sense he would be the one to fail. However, I was pleasantly surprised...and it's good to see all three of them become consistent main eventers and world champions.

What we got instead was obviously better, but I would've loved to hear the crowd shit all over Big Show vs. Kane.

They had plans to book Show v. Kane before booking Seth Rollins HAHA! I’m guessing Seth is the referee of the Roman/Dean match.

Roman vs Dean is an interesting what if they broke up the Shield early thing 🤔

That card has all the ingredients of making WrestleMania 11 (a show I find to have no redeeming qualities whatsoever) look like WrestleMania 17. Punk walking out was the best thing to happen to WrestleMania 30.

Hot take, Mania 30 is a very mediocre show that starts strong and has a feel good finish. Just about everything in-between is pretty much trash. Is that even a hot take, though? Everyone talks about Bryan's win and Undertaker's loss, and...that's about it. My hot take (at least compared to the general views I’ve seen people give on the show) has long been that Mania 31 was just agony to sit through, but gets higher marks for a few high spots in the ladder match, and then Rollins taking the RKO and winning in the end. That show suuuuuuucked.

Least we forget, it looks like we wouldn’t have had that amazing Shield Face Run in between mania and Seth turning. That made them all main eventers

As hilarious as the prospect of Show vs Kane is, Roman vs Dean really catches my eye.
I'm really curious where they were planning on going with that before obviously changing up their plans.
I'm assuming he'd have been involved in the match in some way, but no Seth actually on the card is really odd.

I forget if we were in full-blown Local Man territory with Kane and Big Show at the time, but then everything with The Authority is just a giant blur of bad memories. Hard to say what it would've been in context of builds, but the card we got was way better than this was on paper.
The buys figures though is pretty interesting. Shows how huge of a draw Rock vs Cena was the first time.

Kane and Big Show have had 20 matches on TV according to Cagematch. I have no memory of any of them except the one where they chain wrestled. Somehow I forgot they even had an ECW Championship match. I remember Big Show's ECW matches with Batista, Flair, and Undertaker but the Kane one slipped my mind. Honestly, I've never found Big Show or Kane to be guys to put on great singles matches against anyone outside of a few gems here and there.
