I'm curious as to what you thought of it. I'm a current Marshall student and really didn't care for it. I felt it smacked of exploitation and insincerity. Around here it's blasphemy to say anything that isn't kissing the rears of the holy trinity of McG and the two Matthews for gracing us with their presence in West Virginia. The film seemed cliche to me, but I'm not into sports other than wrestling. Did this movie actually have an audience outside of Huntington, WV?

I never really thought of it as exploitive. It just seemed like a by-the-numbers inspirational sports movie.

Didn't see it, but I thought the recent commerical for it was both humorous and sad. The one where they are talking to audience members and one of them says that Matthew McConaughey is a hottie...
When you are showing a commerical to get people to watch the movie and that's all you have, then you know it's not a good movie.
For example:
"In the Marine, things go boom alot!"

I won free passes, and gave them to my mom and grandparents. They liked it.
Thats all I know.
